Default OMG my left arm is sooo weak....

I was doing bench press today and for the first time I decided to rack 60 lbs on the bar (30 on each side). I started to lift the bar and felt the bar dip on the left and pull left.

WTF? I mean I didnt feel any left side weakness at 50 lbs, why would 60 be sooooo different? And usually I am stronger on the left. Maybe I just wasnt centered and core tightened and prepared. Focus... focus, stomach tight....

Went to lift again. Could barely get the left side off the rail and the right side was popping up easily and I started tipping again like I was going to roll off the bench.

I guess I am not ready for 60 lbs.

Got up to unrack and heh. I had accidentally left the 5 lb plate on the left so that side had 35 lbs instead of 30.

Fixed and did 3 reps, I think I had 4-5 in me but no spotter so cautious.

Its amazing how difficult 5 lbs of imbalance makes it.

I had the resistance bars set off balance to each other during a squat on my Weider two weeks ago and thought the cable was going to whip off and snap my head off when I lost balance and tipped towards the heavy end... I would seriously hurt myself if I did it on a bench press.
Be careful!

And here I was, trying to think of what mysterious injury you could have to your left arm/shoulder, lol! I've done that one, myself. It's only seriously embarrassing if you haven't put clamps on the bar yet, and it unloads itself onto the floor. Congrats on the new bench record!
