Default I don't regret 181

Although I didn't even get chance to wave goodbye as I crashed through to 180.6!

Look, I know I said I wouldn't get hung up on that 179 figure and I promise I won't - but in 11 oz I'll be there! And that's with maintaining the1450-1550 diet and not going stupidly low, although I was going to but cfmama's radar picked it up so I daren't

Thankyou to everyone for your support and positive comments!

Ailidh,

You are doing so fantastic!! In my eyes, you are not a "Happy Plodder" as your profile says. You are flying!!

I have almost controlled my green-eyed monster. I can not help compare myself to you. We are the same sex and age. We are both being consistent with our plans. We have the same calorie range but you are averaging a loss of over 2 pounds a week while I am averaging a hair over a pound a week.

I am coming to accept that different people lose at different rates. Hummmmm........................................... ...

How much and what exercise are you doing? Maybe I don't have that green-eyed monster under control after all!

Time2lose - I do know the feeling! If one more person posts
that they've lost 3lbs and everyone says how much better they look
that they've lost 30lbs and they're wearing a size 8

(and if that sounds like anybody here, I honestly apologize)

I will get my scissors and cut the broadband cable personally! Being as how the only comment I've had so far was a friend telling me to day my face is looking drawn and being as I'm still in a UK18/20, unless it's vvvveeeerrrryyyy stretchy.

Exercise: I hardly dare mention that I go the gym just twice a week, about an hour, 70 minutes each time; and I walk about half an hour twice a week, although starting Sunday I promised that I would at least do 7 walking half hours before the trip Sunday coming.

The Big help for me is having almost zero processed food, no wheat, very little dairy, as all of those things retain water for me.

Can't remember what Way you're following, my memory is losing weight as well, but damn! you're half-way through exactly, and that is an amazing place to be, congratulations!

Ailidh,

It sounds like we are doing about the same amount of exercise too. I have not joined a gym but walk 30 to 60 minutes 6 days a week and am doing strength training with resistance band about 3 times a week. I have one additional exercise that I do that may seem a little strange. I sit on my stairs facing forward, put my hands on the next step up and then lift my body. A few years ago I had foot surgery and getting in the house was terribly hard. I want to be able to pull myself up a few stairs using just my upper body. When I first started doing this, I could only lift myself a couple of inches. I can go much higher now but not enough to go to the next step. If I had to though, I could get up those steps with my upper body and only one foot/leg.

I distracted myself!

I eat a maximum of 1500 calories a day but most days stay in the 1300 to 1400 range. I use the daily plate and watch my balance of protein, carbs and fat.

I really did not mean my comments as a complaint. I am so much healthier than I was this time last year that I am very happy. This is a commitment that I will continue! I am just curious as to why people lose at different rates. Science tells us that a pound is 3500 calories and that weight loss is calories in and calories out. I know that is basically true but there have to be other factors involved. Possible those factors influence the calories out, I think that you must burn more calories than I do.
