Default How do I find a weight loss plan that is good for me?

I am 34. In January of 2009, I decided I was going to try and learn when I was full. So I started pushing back the plate. I started at 210lbs.... now I am 188lbs. And I feel like if I tried I could be thinner.

I started at a 31.2 BMI. Now I am at 27.9 so I am still overweight.

What is a good weight for me? And are their any hints or tricks this community can recommend?

Hi, Manda and WELCOME! I am 34 too (even though I tell people 32

Well, as far as the weight you should be..that would depend on your height. Since you know your BMI, you should probably be around 18.5-24.9. There are tons of low cal recipes on here and on the web in general. Just find some that are your style of cooking and with ingredients you like. Also, are you incorporating exercise? I am a bit obsessive and work out every day. It is good to at least get 30 mins of exercise 3 to 4 times a week.

Good Luck and come here often! It really helps! Everyone is super nice and can help when you are just not feeling it.

Nice meeting you!

Laurie

H Manda! You will find SO MUCH advice on 3FC! Look around, there's a section here for all the different diet plans, different groups you can post with, etc.

welcome Manda, my problem is my metabolism is slow I started doing what hypoglycemics do and that is eating six light meals a day cutting out sweets and sodas, and drinking more water, I have found this helps me as I am not wanting to snack on the extra food. If I feel like I am hungry I grab a glass of water. Good job on your goals and your loss.
