Default Newbie looking for a buddy and/or advice!

Hi! I'm new to L.A. weight loss and doing the program at home. Just wondering if anyone has any advice about the program? Also looking for a buddy to be accountable too. I'm doing plan #2, so far I've lost about 7.5lbs in 3 weeks. I work out about 5-6days a week, run/walk 5km 4 days and weights and ab work 2-3 days. I'd appreciate any advice anyone could give me as I'm not going to the centre. Thanks

Hi and welcome to the 3FC LAWL forum! Soujds like you're making very good progress so far. This is a great place to meet others with similar weight loss goals. I find posting here helps to keep me focused on my program (currently red w/ lites) and more accountable. Jump right in to the conversations

Hey there.. Welcome to the circus!

The one thing I would stress, considering your workout schedule, is to make sure you eat ALL your portions. You may/will find that if you don't your weight loss will slow down, or even stop. This happens because your body will struggle to retain all the calories/water it can to help with recovery.

It's almost as if it goes into starvation mode to compensate for the losses.

Also, what I was taught when I started working out again, is that if you eat lean protein and healthy carbs (fruit) immediately after your workout, you body will continue to burn calories/fat and the influx of protein will speed your body's recovery from the workout so you won't be as sore the next morning...

Congrats on the losses so far!!
