Default Disbelief?

I weighed myself today (finally lost something!) and one thing I finally realized is: each time I weigh myself and have lost weight I get this doubt... like I do not really believe I've lost anyway.

It seems too good to be true. I even feel like a bit of a liar listing my weight as 235.

Anyone else ever experience this?

I always feel that too. When I convince myself (after checking my weight 10 times) I really am that weight then I start to think there's no way I could lose the amount of weight I have and I couldn't of weight over 300lb a years ago.

I hear ya. But at the same time, if you had what you thought was a decent week and gained a lb or two, it's that same feeling of disbelief...

Oh yeah. Every time I get on the scale I'm convinced it's going to say, "Just kidding!" and move my weight back up to 177. Which is one of the reasons I weigh every day -- to be sure I'm really holding steady!

i felt like that too the last time i tried to lose some weight. i lost 8 pounds but i felt like i hadn't lost any and stopped dieting and exercising. i really should have kept going, i could've lost a lot more weight since then.

LOL..I so understand where you are coming from. When I get on the scale sometimes I just stand there looking at the numbers. Vain? Probably.
