Default ohhhhhh dear

So today i went out with a couple of friends that i havent seen in a while, we went to lunch where i got a salad with light dressing on the side. and we then continued to the mall and hung out all day. the other girls wanted ice cream, i chose fat free sugar free frozen yogurt. but then... i just... i had this nagging urge to eat a piece of cheesey garlic brad, i tried to ignore it. but it just was there and ijust HAD to have it. so i had it... and i was like ok.. ive been doing good, this wont kill me - all in moderation.. once in a while is ok.. ect. well five minutes ago i just raided my fridge and consumed a brownie, some hooters chicken nuggets, a piece of cheese, and i was on the hunt for doritos, that i didnt find and im glad i didnt find them. i dont have any idea what the **** i was thinking... i know ll just have to get back on track tomorrow with proper diet and the gym, but little slip ups like this just scare me. they make me think that i cant do it anymore or something...

IMHO, you've suffered a Carb Attack!

It's not that you've suddenly forgotten how to do it but bad carbs demand bad carbs! The only way round it for me is to reject them totally, because however little a piece I have, however within a calorie budget it is, it always but always leads to more in a way which I can only assume is chemical.

Draw a line and move on, you can so do this!

Did you have any meat on that salad? It sounds to me like you maybe didn't get enough food, and that always spells disaster for giving in to cravings.

One of my biggest realizations was that just because something was there and I wanted it - didn't mean that I HAD to have it. HUGE discovery for me. Granted, every now and then, I do have to re-discover it .

The problem with one "bad" choice is that it often leads to more bad choices. You need to use this a learning experience - and learn from it. That is all.

Into every life, some slip-ups will fall. Those slip-ups are just part of the journey. The good thing is that we CAN control how long they last. This is what it's all about. What are you going to do NEXT? You're going to go right back to your healthy eating plan. Give yourself 3 good days. 3 solid, well thought out, on plan days. You'll be back in a groove and your doubts of whether or not you can do this will disappear.

Yesterday, I got back on track after a small slipup. Wishing you luck... Nowadays I keep telling myself things like "Cookie, U r evil, u just have empty carbs", "Pizza, u just look good, when I eat you, u don't taste as yummy as you look"... I tell this out loud when nobody is around... to myself when I am with company.. that helps a lot too..

Never wait until tomorrow to get back on track, get back on track with the next meal or snack.

You're on the right track, regardless of your slip ups! Talk to the people who have lost 100+ lbs, they didn't do it without slips ups! Even those that have lost 5 lbs have probably had slip ups! Important thing is moderation & to get back on track with the right things tomorrow. You're doing great so far, don't give up on all your hard work now! Whatever your doing is working!

When I've eaten too much, I just put EVERYTHING in on my daily plate and seeing that I've ate almost 2000 calories in a day is usually punishment enough for me because then I look back on my week and seeing that one day that was just huge and I'm humiliated. For some reason, I feel embarassed just in front of myself if I eat too much. Weird? Maybe, but it seems to work.

Gosh, it happens to all of us. Some of us do best by eliminated the food from our menu, and some give themselves permission to have something like garlic bread (from time to time!). Sounds like you're doing just fine...please don't beat yourself up over this. Next time, forewarned is forearmed.

that's what I was thinking.. maybe lacking protein, fat, fiber. walking around the mall and shopping can be a bit of a workout, maybe you needed more food.

no my salad had grilled chicken on it, and then i even had fat free/sugar free frozen yogurt. the garlic bread wasnt a huge deal.. it was the random binge i did at 1:30 am for everything i could find in the fridge. that bothered me.

Oppse!!!!!!!!! Just move on from it and make more sensible choices next time. You can do it, and you know you can do it because you lost 30lb already. Resiting the urge to eat everything is so hard sometimes but you can do it.
