and it looks good.
I was supposed to go last week for induction but had to cancel because of the allegedly dying dog (who is skipping round her world like a young lamb at the moment!
).
I rescheduled for today but this morning I felt so light-headed and woolly-footed that I didn't dare exercise. (Blood tests on Friday).
I wanted to keep the appointment though because you know how it goes, cancel, cancel, cancel, forget all about it....
So it's quite a small, ladies only gym, about 20 mins drive from here. The members I've seen so far are all 'ordinary' - i.e. like me
, not posers, not ultra-fit.
There's probably only 4 of each piece of equipment but the time I'll be going, due to work and traffic, turns out to be their quiet time, so should be no problem. There are 3 showers and a communal changing room - but...... everything is absolutely spotless and well maintained; they'll design me a programme and update it regularly without incurring 'personal trainer' costs, which some of the big gyms charge at the drop of a hat; they understood my concerns about going to a gym where the instructors understood about health issues like hbp and so on.
So I'm going back next week for the real induction - I could have done it today, it was me that cancelled because of the woollifoot.
And! the gym is right next door to a really good shopping mall! Excellent, huge supermarket, lots of little shops, especially ones that sell cheapy clothes, the kind I Will buy as I shoot down the pounds, and a healthfood store. Result!
