Default When Pizza Hits...

Yep, I had another pizza attack tonight thanks to DH bringing a box home and me not being able to control myself.

Help me come up with a workout tonight that'll help. I normally do 1-2 miles on the treadmill and 4-6 on the bike. Thoughts?!

water water water and more water. And when you finish that WHACK YOUR DH OVER THE HEAD with the empty pizza box.

And then the NEXT TIME you have a pizza craving? I like the lean cuisine panini's but I just eat it open faced and it's solves my pizza craving

Thanks guys. I've been drinking water like crazy today and the scale is only up a pound from this morning (it's usually up 2-3 by the evening) so I think the water is helping.

I did 6 miles on the bike as the treadmill in my crappy apt gym was out again. Better than nothing I guess.

Here's to hoping my 4 slices didn't add 4 pounds to my butt! =P

Ack, pizza is evil! I don't know that I could withstand the temptation if my hubby brought that home. This sounds like a trigger food for you, too. Can you ask him to help you and not bring pizza home anymore?

What type of pizza was it? Deep dish? Regular or thin crust? What was on it?

I only ask because pizza doesn't have to be evil or off limits. With a bunch of kids and a husband pizza is pretty popular here. We order 2 medium pizzas (the slices are smaller then a large) and one has just cheese (not extra cheese) and the other has what the husband likes. 2 slices with some veggies or pineapple and chicken (my favs!) and I am good to go, don't feel deprived and didn't sabotage my entire day. We get our pizza from a local place and it seems to be A LOT less greasy then the big chains.

I agree with the others also. Drink lots of water and excersize. You'll feel better. That's what I plan on doing today. Somebody (me) is getting ready for 2 birthday parties and somebody (me) "sampled" her share of some chips and french onion dip. I am hoping I will be soar after my workout so I am not tempted to do too much sampling as I make the THREE birthday cakes I have to make! LOL!

Could you ask your DH to be more considerate and NOT bring pizza in the house?

Yikes, We have a pizza ban in our house because I'd do the same thing. Can't resist the stuff! If DH wants it he takes our oldest out to CiCi's. That way there's none coming home.

I like to put Pizza sauce, a bit of Mozzarella, and a bunch of veggies on Lowcal English muffins. After two of them I'm usually over my craving. It's pretty good!

Have you tried making your own pizza so that you can count every single calorie in it and know just how much you can have? I load mine with onion, mushrooms, green pepper, black olives turkey Italian sausage and turkey pepperoni on a whole grain pizza crust. Ant he sauce I use is only 10cal per serving, and I go a little light on cheese.

I'm also weak when it comes to pizza. I've been having us make our own. I use an 8" whole wheat pita and I buy a thicker, white pita for my boyfriend. He puts pepperoni on his, but I get to stick with veggies on mine and I find it's not too bad.

I love pizza! Love it, love it, love it! So, if I want some, I make it at home, as healthy as I can as for your workout on the treadmill. If you ever want to mix up your workout on the treadmill, turn sideways and gallop for 1 minute and then turn the other way and gallop for another minute.

Yeah, I'm definitely making mine next time. It was loaded with pep and sausage. I read online that it was like 400 calories a slice. Yowza!

Luckily, no gain today. I ended up drinking 4L of water yesterday and I'm keeping up the same pace today so hopefully I won't gain! *fingers crossed*

Pizza is my most "triggering" food. I don't eat it at all anymore because I can't just have 1 or 2 slices.

Hopefully the DH knows not to bring it home anymore!
