Do any of you fix sides and foods that are for the kids...and then end up
eating some ??
Tonight I fixed potato augratin as a side and it was just too tempting to
not have some. If the kids are not here it is easier to just have only south
beach food.
I also fix regular stuff for other family members. As long as I have plenty to eat, I'm usually not tempted. The problem is when they're eating pizza on the weekend. Then, I'm weak.
There will always be temptations and we are all human. Just be sure you have OP foods for yourself and do the starchy stuff for the family. It will get easier as you move on into Phase II.
I admit, I often have a spoonful...and am often disappointed in it's taste . It is difficult at times, but I normally have a bunch of SBD stuff on my plate, so there's no room for theirs!
No one else in my house is on SB- so I have to make them sides and make my own. It does make it harder because there is so much non SB food in the house- but I try to buy them stuff that does not tempt me.
I do fix non south beach foods for the family on occasion. However I have informed them that there will be more foods that are South Beach friendly than not eventually. It won't hurt them to eat what I eat.
