I can only ask this here!
Ok so some of you ladies know I tend to have issues erm going to the bathroom consistently
After 14 mini prunes a glass and a half of apple juice and 4 tblets of magnesium last night
and a protein shake for breakfast I finally went to the bathroom Halleluyah!
So here's my Q I have no idea what to eat? Should i go for somethign liquid so nothing gets stuck or do a salad or somethign?
I'm so sick of swollen legs feet and abdomen!

Did you ever tried to incorporate Flax seeds DAILY in your eating plan?
Besides helping to go to the bathroom it is suppose to be very healthy and good for your heart.

1 word! BEANS!!! I know you've heard it before but... I am an avid fiber eater and beans are the key and there are SO many things you can do with them!
Also as belezura mentioned flax seeds are GREAT in protein shakes! (Use the Milled version, it's more like a powder then a seed)

Being bariatric and taking iron daily, I have enormous poo probs. The only thing over the counter my doc allows is miralax that you mix with water. It has NO taste and keeps me regular.

I am soooo with you. Since my surgery, I take 2 stool softeners, 2 probiotics, and 2 magnesium oxide supplements (total of 800mg) every day, and I still don't poop every day! And I have Fibersure to add to foods, too, since I'm not eating much in the way of veggies or grains right now.

When I was following Atkins (and couldn't poop) I took Psyllium husks (powder). I would ask your doctor first if you can take it.
Psyllium husks are used as a source of dietary fiber. They are used to relieve constipation, irritable bowel syndrome, diverticular disease, and diarrhea. They are also used as a regular dietary supplement to improve and maintain regular GI transit.

I vote for sugar alcohol laced chocolate candy!!!!! LOL!!!! NOT!!!!! I've not had a problem with "not" being able to go, in fact I have the opposite problem. We won't go there, but I got a SF angel food cake, SF vanilla pudding, NAS cherry pie filling with some lite sour cream. It is called Cherry Fluff. Made it for my DH, he loved it, but OMG, I just barely tasted the stuff and the Fourth of July in my britches!!!!! Sugar alcohol in the cake and the NAS pie filling. My grandkids ran in terror from me! The next meal was greens and pinto beans. Am I nuts or what!! I've been drinking water like crazy to try and get the stuff through my system!!!!
