Default OMG, MorningStar Farms Vegan Hamburgers & Sausage Patties

OMG! Morning Star Farms "Grillers Vegan" (like hamburgers) and "Sausage Patties" are so frigging awesome!

All you vegetarians/vegans you must try these! I went to a cookout and took two of the Vegan Grillers hamburgers and they were totally awesome. I felt like I was eating a real hamburger. I was surprised too because Burger Kings veggie burgers always hurt my stomache, but these did not.

The sausage patties look, feel, and taste like real sausage patties, Im telling ya! They really do....(to me anyway). The meal starter crumbles are frigging great also....just use as you would ground beef.

Just had to share a wonderful vegetarian find! Lots of protein and no flesh! Go cows!

We discovered the wonderful world of Morning Star when my daughter decided to go vegetarian a year ago. As a matter of fact, we are having spaghetti made with the crumbles this evening. I am particularly fond of the Veggie Burger. Yum yum!

PROTEIN:

The crumbles (like ground beef) have 10 g protein per 2/3 cup.
The vegan grillers (like hamburgers) have 12 g protein per patty.
The Sausage patties have 10 g protein per patty.

Are the sausage patties vegan? I usually stay away from Morningstar because most of their stuff isn't vegan.

I've had other good vegan sausage patties before as well although last time I made my own.

Ahh I looked on their website and they aren't.

Also, many years ago I tried some crumbles and didn't like them. So I stay away from crumbles. I do use TVP sometimes.

My favorite veggie burger is actually the Chik'n griller by Garden Burger. Also the Soy Boy veggie burger is pretty good.

I find that the dry tvp gives me HORRIBLE Gas......thats the only problem I have with it. I actually used some of it to make taco soup this week.

Oh, yes, mug. My favorite Morningstars:

-maple sausage patties
-Italian sausages (I eat like hot dogs)
-black bean & mushroom veggie burgers, respectively

I've been eating them for a good 8+ years. The maple sausages are The regular ones are awesome.

The tomato basil pizzaburgers are awesome, they had a cheddarburger that was good, and the chicken patties are awesome as well.

They also have baby corndogs. Much better than the real thing & almost no difference in taste.

I really like MorningStar. I'm glad you found them! It's a good, hearty filling breakfast to put an egg, slice of cheese, and that sausage on an english muffin. Yumm-o!

My hubby has been eating the "sausage" patties for 2 years. But, this time, I tried them. I get a plastic container, drop in half a cup of "real egg" and drop the frozen patty in. I season it and microwave until egg is cooked. I plop it out, cut it up, and put it on a la banderita fat free tortilla. I alternate adding spinach, tomato, broccoli and laughing cow!

TOTALLY ADDICTED. So between this "real egg" omelets, and oatmeal , breakfast is my favorite! Doesn't take much thought and I am happy with my choices.
J

In the omelets, I add sauteed onions and tomatoes, basil, and broccoli!
