Default 10 pound mini goal

I realize if i start out by knowing I need to lose 80 + pounds it freaks me out a little. So for now my mini goal is going to be 10 pounds by May 15th. Which is a mth.
I CAN DO IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You can definitely do it! Just think- Once you lose 10 lbs (which it totally manageable), you only have to do the same thing 7 more times to get to your goal!
Good luck!

Mini goals is what is working for me. Usually I set some big number that I can not reach and give up. I have a big number for June 2010 but I have small goals of where I want to be by certain points during the year. It is usually 5 - 8 pounds between each goal. This keeps me on track. My goals may be too low and some may think I am not challenging myself enough but I rather 12 small goals and set a new goal than to not ever make it and get frustrated.

Good Luck on your 10 pounds! You can do it!!

I do goals too - by 10 lbs. What a nice thing I do for myself is that for every 10 lbs lost, I will reward myself with something. Kind of like an incentive to keep going! So as I get farther down my list, my rewards are bigger and better (ie. -10lbs = eyebrow wax, -20lbs = fancy haircut, -30lbs = my first bikini, etc etc). If you think this helps you, you should try it too!

i agree reward yourself a little something for every 10 lbs you lose... i lost over 60 lbs 10 years ago and that's what i did, be it a manicure or a pedicure, facial, whatever just something a little nice for you
