Lately, gum. And eating often enough that I do not get overly hungry. And water. And distraction. And eating enough fiber, protein, etc., through the day.

Greensfirst and some psyllium husk (or Metamucil) in 8-10 oz. water mid-afternoon totally fills me up. Then I can make it to dinner time without a problem.

I don't eat a lot from noon to 6:00 p.m. because I go to bed so late. I save at least ten points for after six. This way I don't go over because of my late night eating. If I feel a binge craving coming on, I will usually slice up a grapefruit, sprinkle a little sugar on it, and that almost always takes away my craving. I also love hot chocolate, and add a few marshmallows. It feels like a real treat. Today I really wanted pizza and hadn't had it in about three weeks. I have been such a good girl. So I saved 16 points today for my vegi pizza dinner.

Oh, yeah, and sugar free popsicles. I love those. I go through a box a week, but at 15 calories a pop, I think I am fine.

I eat often so I don't get too hungry and also I've seen the hunger and if I use food for coping with feelings all over the day depends a lot on what I eat for breakfast. A big breakfast, no emotional eating.

When I'm going through a rough time, like now, I have been doing Pilates and walking. I take it out on the gym and lately the basketball court. To be honest, sometimes I just don't want to talk to anyone about it, I just want to move through it and get to the other side of "rough time."

I pray. I ask God to help me help myself. If I don't ask for help, it doesn't magically come. But when I do, I always somehow find the strength to move on to a different (more productive) activity.
