Maybe your still swollen in that area? For me losing weight around my stomach seems almost impossible. I tend to lose it every where else but there, so who knows. At 170 lbs I still wore a size 16 b/c of my belly..go figure.

Give yourself at least 3 mos of recovery time in the stomach area.

stop obsessing!!!!!! the weight will move when and where it wants to! and please remember that most of us who carry weight in our bellies will see changes later - at least, that's what i've seen in others.

it'll come off. i promise. however, you might want to consider taking measurements - you'll be surprised at the changes!

I think swelling and in the first few weeks I wasn't...moving...well. it took a while before I got into the rhythm of things.

I think that it's hard not to obsess at this stage Jiffy! lol But still try xbubloox...do as your dr. tells you and it will just fall off on it's own!

Yes, I think I am very obsessive about this whole thing.... I have not seen changes like this in a long time. I am such a slave to the scale as well... I need to STOP it! But I am so excited, that I cannot help it.

It is very exciting!! Give your body some time to heal. You'll get there! What plan are you doing? Keep it up!!

Default The Scales (%*@#(*$&

Congrats on your surgery! Now about the scales.....THROW THEM IN THE BACK OF THE CLOSET AND GET THEM OUT ONCE A MONTH!!!! You CAN'T NOT lose weight at this point and you will drive yourself silly if you continuously weigh yourself. Remember this is not just about weight loss, it is about your health and well being. You will get down to smaller size clothes, you CAN'T NOT. You don't really need anymore stress at this point. Just concentrate on doing exactly what the doctor and NUT told you and you will lose like you are suppose too. Every time someone has surgery, you have swelling and it takes a while for that to be gone. How do I know this......been there done that!!!LOL!! You can say that I might have had a cross-addiction to the scale!! LOL!!! Judge by inches and how your clothes fit and then when you do weigh yourself, SURPRISE!!!!! Your weight didn't come on overnight and it sure isn't going to go away overnight. You will encounter platueas along the way and you will be frustrated and weighing too frequently will add to that. Enjoy the ride, because it goes fast and then you will get to the maintenance stage before you know it.

I think you are doing great. You have done considerably well in 16 days. Don't be to hard on yourself. Your stomach will go down. When you have surgery they fill your stomach with air and it adds to bloating. It does take a while for that to go away. It took me over a month to deal with the big tummy issue.

I agree, I only weigh when I go to the dr. for fills. I spent to many years obsessing about the weight gains, and then got to the point that the scale did not go up high enough ( talk about really feeling depressed)
I am losing about 12 pounds per month. I think it has been mostly in my face, boobs, and one thigh ;(
