Default Just turned 40!

Hi all! I'm new to my 40's and to this group. I turned 40 on 2/4. I'm very excited about it! Life is so good except for one thing-this weight! I lost 106 pounds a few years ago and slowly regained it. I crept back up to my original weight. I couldn't believe it. But last March, I got back on the wagon and lost some of it, but then I stalled. I would like to lose about 70 pounds or so. As of today, I am officially back on the wagon. I'm happy to have found you all and look forward to getting to know you!

Welcome to the group Lauren!! Good for you for having a positive attitude about turning 40! I just did back in November and did not have such a positive outlook on it, LOL!! Actually though I turned it into a good thing and changed my way of life since then into being more healthy. Glad to have you aboard!!

Hi, Lauren. Welcome; glad to have you join us! I'm about to turn 44. The thing I have really loved about my 40s is my confidence in who I am... A long way from my self-doubting teens!!

Welcome Lauren! I just turned 48. The 40's haven't been so bad, now the 50's, that scares me! That's why I'm doing what I can to change my life now! Stick around, this is a great group!

Welcome Lauren, I have to agree with everything that everyone has said so far. I just turned 44 and decided that I had enough of being overweight and it was time to loose this weight once and for all. I think that the turning point for me was my daughter moving away to attend university, she called me one day and said that we were the youngest parents on her sports team and I thought that I could not be the youngest and the fattest parent on the team. So I decided to join WW and increase my exercise, I hope that I wont be the fattest parent on the team. I just want to say that I sure hope that the rest of my 40's will be filled with having fun and enjoying a new me.

Take care

Welcome, Lauren! 40's are great - all those little bits of experiences and knowledge start to come together into a cohesive view of the "big picture". It's a great time - the body still responds to positive changes in diet and exercise, and we can be just as strong and fit as we want to get (my idol is Dara Torres!). No matter where you are in your journey, there's chicks here that are in the same spot - we are truly greater than the sum of our parts!!

Thanks for all the warm welcomes! So my first month of my 40's has been great! I went to Mexico for a week, I'm back on track losing this weight, and I've found a great forum!

I'm 40 and I can say that the last 10 years have been huge in the way of self growth. I'm emotionally stronger than ever - now I'm focusing on dropping the 20 lbs I've gained
