Old gold/green plan w/o lites?
I did LAWL several years ago, with the Lites. I was on the gold plan for most of the time, and they put me on the green plan at the end. I have done pretty well at maintaining my goal weight. However, with holiday binging and January stress this year, I'm a few pounds over and I would actually like to be a few pounds under. I've gone back on my weightloss plan, but I'm tired of eating (and paying for!) - Luna bars. Does anyone know what the program would have officially added if I wasn't eating the bars? If not, I'll just play around until I find something that works. Thanks for any info you can offer!

I believe it would be purple without the lites which is the lowest plan you would be on without the lites. I'm pretty sure it is:
2 protein
4 veggies
3 fruit
2 starch
1 dairy
1 fat
And the protein size is 8oz for chicken, fish, etc and 6 oz for beef

Thanks for the info! I think I'll give this a try. With the bars, I'm supposed to be on the green plan, but I HATE the green plan. 2 veggies and 2 fruits - that's not even the minimum recommended 5 servings of fruits and veggies a day!

I'm 5'3". My weight is around 128 right now. My goal weight on LAWL when I did it originally was 125, but I'd like to try to get down closer to 120 and see if I can maintain that without too much difficulty. 125 usually isn't the hard for me to maintain (I just have these brief 2-5 pound setbacks), but after being 125 for so long I don't know if my body will want to be 120 or 121. However, I thought I would try it and see.

If your not using LA Lites you would actually follow Gold. If you use the LA Lites you would be on Green. Hope that helps!

Hmm. To go from Gold to Green with the lites, you lose 1 fruit and 1 veg. That's probably under 150 calories - less than 1 bar. I stalled out under green when I originally did it with the lites (I had to add another 1/2 protein back to get going again), so I'm not sure that dropping 360-380 calories from the gold plan (by dropping the bars) would work that well for me. I might be better off trying the purple plan, or just trying to drop one bar from the gold plan.

We're in the same boat boyerm. Our stats are almost the same, but I'm 5'4 and weigh 127 pounds. I've been following the green plan as well, (for a long year or more) but I'm trying to get down to 120 without the lites. My body seems to fluctuate between 123 and 127. Are you going to follow the purple plan by adding the 2V and 1F? What if I just add 1V and 1F, would that really matter?

Not sure if LA is still saying this but I was told if you are not using the lites you shouldn't drop below the purple plan...

Thank you so much Kristinx. I'll try the purple plan and see if that scale moves.

I haven't decided what plan I'll follow - I'm waffling. I know I just need to pick one and see what happens, but I haven't done it yet. I may try the purple, or I may try one of the new numbered plans if I can get enough info on it. We'll see. I was back down to 124 again a couple of days ago, so at least I dropped the extra pounds. 124-125 is where I tend to stay, unless I've been indulging too much.

I was told the same thing.
They told me that if I decided to NOT USE the lites, I should follow the PURPLE plan and ignore any reference to the LA Lites, regardless of how much weight I want to loose.
I'm from Canada. I don't know if things change from Canadian to U.S. plans

What if you ARE on lites (oe Lunas)? What is the lowest plan you should be on? I am on the new system so PLAN 1 with Lunas.
I am allowed 2 P, D1, S2, Veg, 2, Fruit 2, Fat 1.
Does that sound about right?
I can't get the last 10 off but its' because I am unmotivated and lazy.
