Default Tired of sitting on the sidelines

Today I went roller skating with a diet buddy of mine. She has lost 50 lbs and didn't have nearly as far as me to go. (she's sitll got another 22 to go though) but anyhow, She does roller derby, she's very fit at 188. I went around the rink maybe 10 times in three hours. I kept having to take a break because my ankles were like, on fire.

I don't think I could have done it at all 32 lbs ago! But still, it was a serious wake up call. Ihave been OP for over a month with no 'cheats'...just workin' it in! ( I calorie count)

Anyhow, I spent A LOT of time on the sideline watching my friend skate. I wanted to be out there so bad.

I hate being this out of shape!

Just venting I guess...

anyhow, I came home, took a little nap, and then got up and excercised with My Fitness Coach (on wii) and boy that felt GREAT! I did it for 30 mins today. I got lots of excercise today. My bf texted me and said he's so proud.

It's not all bad...

WOW --- you have great big brass ones, don't you, Lottie! And I say that with a lot of respect in my voice, believe me!

I don't think you were sitting on the sidelines --- I think you were out there trying it on. And in a few months, you'll be back there lapping your friend at 90 miles an hour. Good for you for not waiting "until I am thinner" or "until I am at goal" to do what you want with your life!

Oh! and by the way? Great new picture!

I'm late getting in on this, but I agree with the others. I totally admire what you did! I would have been afraid to try it!! Good for you!

Count me in as someone who thinks you did great! It is frustrating when you want to do something NOW, RIGHT NOW, but not only did you not let the skating rink experiance get you down - you turned it into a big postive by then working out on top of it! WTG!

I sooooo know how you feel! Go with her again and let her inspire you to get out there and keep going. You can do it!

Yeah, I would never have the gumption to go skating lol. I want to go ice skating but I feel so uncomfortable in my body and I don't want to be the fat person who falls down every five minutes, but I admire what you did too. There is a lot of things I want to do like running or go up the stairs without getting out of breath and I'm only 21, I shouldn't be getting winded! Soon though, soon we will be able to do whatever we want. Run a marathon even.
