Hello all!
I just wanted to re-introduce myself after a bit of an absence and say that I'm back on the weight-loss wagon!
I got pregnant in February of '08 and after a bit of a struggling last trimester (complete bedrest for 8 weeks) delivered my son 3 weeks early on November 21st. We're both healthy and happy and doing well. It's now most definitely time for me to get back in gear with my weight loss, I'd
like to be down to my pre-pregnancy weight by the end of the year. I'm nursing right now, so *in theory* that should help things.
I'm going to start writing down what I eat again and counting calories. The bright side is that I can't eat chocolate, caffeinated sodas, and baby Caleb doesn't respond well when I eat fried foods. So, I hope that will help me out in the long run. I got a jogging stroller from my parents for Christmas and have been walking every day so far. I hope to start running again within the month. DH tore his ACL so I'm going to have to run on my own for now.
But, hey, I can do it! I did it once before and was successful. I lost 63 lbs in 11 months in 2007. 2008 was pregnancy and now 2009 will be weight loss again. Sigh... it's a drag losing pounds I've already lost, but such is the battle.
I just can't figure out how I lived at this weight for so long... it's miserable! I'm
very ready to get back under 200 and then down to goal.
I hope to be around here as much as I can!
