An "Oh Crap" moment
Just a rant!
I have a system for doing laundry; first I do my clothes putting them in their correct piles, colors and whites with cold water and low heat on the dryer. Second comes the towels, sheets and undergarmets on hot water with high heat, usually no problems. Well today I did all that and thought I was done but then I thought hmmmm I should go ahead and do these 3 sweaters (nice ones at that) so I can have them this week. I forgot to change the setting back to cold and low heat.............so now Im going to walk these sweaters over to my 7 yr old neighbor, heck they may be too small for her too.

LOL.
That's kind of funny.
I'm sorry that it happened, though. :[

My DD got a very nice sweater from my friend because she did the same thing. That was an expensive sweater, too!
I'm sorry this happened to you. You wash your sheets in hot water?

Im looking on the positive side, I would have gotten rid of them soon because they would have been too big.
Yes Mare, it's something my mother always did so I just keep doing it. I am now a jersy knit fanatic, I have 6 sets of them and I love them

Actually, you're supposed to wash underwear in hot water, cuz every time you fart, particles of poop comes out, and if you wash them iwth all of your other clothes, then it gets on your other clothes (eww), and if you wash them in cold, it doesn't disinfect them. Also with sheets, hot water kills bed bugs!! Aha.. Oh.. So just thought I'd let you know!!

I wash sheets and undies in hot also, though if I'm doing laundry, I always try to do laundry in reverse temperature order (cold - medium - then hot). I haven't had to worry about that for a while though, as hubby does all of the laundry. Well, he does the laundry part, I usually do the folding and putting away part.

Oh no!
I had an "oh crap" laundry moment a few weeks ago... I managed to wash two of my husband's white t-shirts with a brand new red king-size sheet. They came out very pink! I tried bleaching and re-washing, and they ended up sort of an orangeish off-white, good enough to wear under other shirts anyway. *sigh*
