Default An Exercise Plan?

I plan on doing a calorie-counting diet, but I need an exercise plan. Here's some equipment I have:

Treadmill
Ab Lounge
3 lb dumbells
Resistance Bands
Tae Bo DVDs

I hate the idea of getting up early in the mornings to work out, but I work 8-5 Monday through Friday at a doctor's office and I like to keep my nights with my family and boyfriend and getting to bed on time so I can function the next morning. Plus, if I plan on exercising at night, I'll end up making plans and just not doing it.

It takes me an hour to get ready, so I'm thinking of getting up at 6 and working out until 6:30 5 days a week and being ready to go by 7:30. Maybe power-walking for that time on my treadmill. And then doing some night exercises to tone up with the weights and ab lounge. And later, if I get tired of the treadmill, I can switch it up with the DVDs.

Does that sound like a solid exercise plan? What can I do to improve it?

Well, I've got much the same problem, but with more free time than you seem to have. I'm wondering if you could reduce the amount of time it takes to get ready for work and get a little more sleep. Other than that, your plan sounds good. I seem to have trouble making myself move early in the morning, especially in the dark winter. It may be what I have to do though.

I wish you luck with it. It is certainly important for good health.

I WISH I could get ready in a shorter amount of time. Unfortunately, showering, blow-drying, straightening, make-up, and getting dressed takes forever even when I rush. I'll never understand it.

Thanks for the response!

That sounds like an amazing plan. haha. But sadly, I'm only 19, still live at home with the family, and I don't think they'd feel comfortable with me and my boyfriend disappearing upstairs and the shower running. Maybe one day, though. There could be hope one day.

Default Sounds like a solid plan to me.

I think that that is an obtainable solid plan for working out.
Keep it simple for the first month so that you do not get discouraged. Once going to the gym becomes regular it will be easier to add more exercises.
Happy Holidays!

Cool Maybe do every other day for starters.

When you are first getting started you want to keep easily reachable goals. I am sure you can work out five days a week but I would suggest you start off with every other day until you get used to everything. Most people quit within 30 days of beginning. Take your time and it will increase the chances of your success. Best wishes and Good LUCK!

Maybe get the boyfriend out at night for a walk after supper, along with the half hour in the morning...
