Default Halloween

It is my favorite time of the year chicks!!!! Halloween!! Only one question though...What A**hole decided that a size 12 is a plus size costume???!!!! I was looking at costumes and was totally appalled by that!!! My office has to dress and decorate with the theme of graveyard this year. Having some trouble finding a costume..looked at the Goodwill store and Yard sales. Ended up with 50 cent vampire teeth and a cheap tube of blood....no clothes to go with it mind you. This is definitley not my most creative Halloween.

Even at Spirit, I have to wonder who sizes the plus size costumes. Plus size for kids, maybe? Why are costume sizes so off???

And one size fits all...I don't even need to go there. Arrrrrgh.

I decided that I'm making my own costume this year. I'm going to be a "sexy" police officer, so I found the shirt at a thrift store and got some cute accessories to jazz it up at Spirit.

I tried on the "Plus size" sexy police officer costume...I don't know what plus size system they're using, but I couldn't fit the largest sized one.

The costume I bought from Spirit is plus size. I honestly thought it was gonna be too big, but it fit perfectly. I also bought a sexy lil something from Fredricks of Hollywood that is one size, and I thought it would be too small..but nope, it fits.

However..the costume I bought last year from Party City was a plus size..and it was too big on me. So maybe its different everywhere..

Well, I originally wanted to be a witch, and found a costume at Spirit that actually fit (for the first time in years)...then found out that the job I just started has a costume contest every year. I thought "cool"..Then find out that each team has to decorate and dress as a theme...Our supervisor wants a graveyard theme..everyone is in charge of something..nobody is excited but me and my super.

So I went in search of a costume Saturday. I wanted a prom dress. (dead prom queen) Couldn't find a single one!! So I bought cheap vamp teeth, blood, and a fake bite wound. I did call another goodwill today and they have some prom dresses. I hope to find one on Saturday. I decorated my cubicle with cobwebs and bats strung up with fishing line so that they look like they are flying above me.

If I find the dress though, I want to make a paper mache disco ball (with blood splatters), cheesy prom decorations with Halloween/gothic feel, and I am going to make a ballot box with spiders and blood. I made tombstones this weekend for everyone. But if I can't find a dress, I'll try to find a vamp inspired outfit..

Prom dress, or what about a dead bride? Sometimes you can find those dresses in the "Halloween" costume section at Goodwill too... may be something to keep in mind anyway. I keep saying that when I find a wedding dress at goodwill that fits me I will buy it and dress up that year... no luck so far.

Okay, The Prom Dress Search Didn't Work Out Well. I Am Officially A Pirate For Halloween. I Have A Big White Billowy Shirt, Denim Corset, Black Skirt, Knee Boots, And I Bought A Pirate Hat And Wig This Weekend. This Was My Costume Idea Last Year, But Never Dressed Up. I Think The Hubby Is Dressing Up Like Hannibal Lector, Duaghter Has 4 Costumes To Pick From, And My Son Is Being A Tae Kwon Do Person. I Keep Telling Myself That Next Year I Will Head Right To The "sexy" Section And Pick A Costume That Will Fit.
