So, anyone recieve any compliments this week?
I was talking to my mom on the phone this morning, telling her my amazing cholesterol number and she asked me how much I weighed, I told her "about 170" and she said "what? you look like you weigh like 140" Made my day

That's awesome Ghost!
I get weird ones at work all the time. Besides the gaping mouths.... guys are so obvious. The latest "drama" is a short ugly Guatmalan that has fallen in love with me. But he knows no English so he tells me through the production supervisor and he'll just smile and nod. Weird, but it makes me laugh when I get back to my desk.
My favorite compliment so far is when someone who knows my real weight tell me I don't look a pound over 200. Yeah, I wish! But still makes me feel good. I have always "carried" my weight well. No one ever guesses it. I should totally try to have people gamble on my weight. I would be a big winner baby!

People always seem to think I weigh less than I do, or maybe they're just trying to be nice. The other day my roomie guessed me at "no more than 150". How sweet of her
Oh and also, my grandpa was in town from Minnesota today, so on the way back from the beach they decided to stop by and have breakfast with me. He kept complimenting me, saying "the older you get the prettier you are, you have such a nice complexion and a great smile." Later on we were in the dining hall and he goes "I've been looking around and I think you're the best looking girl in here." Oh grandpa

This is not weight related, but someone mistook me for a 22 year old this week. Made my day! BTW, I'm 31, which means I technically shouldn't post in the 20-somethings... I'm in denial...

Zen- That's ok. you can post with us 20 somethings. I was thinking about that the other day. I'm only 27 but I've made friends in the 20 somethings and don't know if I want to move up.

I don't think it was a compliment, so much as a guy working on a roof and staring at me while I walked into the store, then waving at me as I walked back to my car. I'm POSITIVE I didn't know him.

I was talking to a kid today in my baking class... He was like I'm getting fat from this class... I patted my stomach, and he was like. Stop it you're beautiful... I love that word. It means alot more then hot or sexy. Lol. Guys can be great sometimes. So that made my afternoon.

Back on Monday, my sister said, "You're not fat." in that 'why are you complaining voice. LOL! I know, we've been through this...I guess it's more of, no matter how much I lose or how small I look, I still feel 300 and some odd pounds. I have got to adjust.

When was running today (which I don't do much) some guy whistled. I figured he was just making fun of the fat girl but the he said "I don't know why your jogging, you look terrific just the way you are". I wasn't sure if I should say "thanks" or what. I just kept going.

I was also told this week that I look like a high schooler...sweet!
I'm 29, turning 30 in april and you bet your arse I'll still be posting in here come may! If I look like I'm under 18, but I'm over 30 that averages out to twenty-something.

My boyfriend and I went shopping last weekend because I had lost 30lbs and he wanted to buy me some new clothes. He picked out this shirt that I didn't like on the hanger. I tried on just to pacify him because he wouldn't shut up about it. I came out and he said (loudly) "Damn, You look HOT!" in front of everyone in the store. I turned about 9 shades of red and stood there fidgeting wanting to run back in the dressing room. The shirt has grown on me and I love it, it does give me a nice shape.

That reminds once of a guy who gave my a Snicker's bar once, because he'd seen me enjoy some dessert or another, and thought it was just so great to see a woman who actually enjoyed dessert It wasn't as weird as it sounds, just sweet. This was a long time ago, and I was probably about my current weight, but on the way up of course .
