Question What have you found to be the best work out for weight loss?

Hi, I have the following programs that I can borrow and was wondering if any one has tried these and if they found them to be helpful in losing weight and/or inches.

The Firm with weights

Denise Austin Powerzone

Core Secrets

Windsor Pilates

Turbo Jam

Any input would be appriciated.

Thanks

I personally don't do just one type of video. I like to mix them up so I don't get bored. One of my favorites is The Firm. I have over 20 of their videos and they are great to lose inches and weight. I also mix them up with Turbo Jam and sometimes Tae Bo. I also just ordered The Biggest Loser, so I'm hoping that will help with my variety more.

I am glad you said that because I was thinking of borrowing the Frim, Turbo Jam and the core, I figured it wouldn't hurt to mix things up.

Thanks for your input.

I have several Walk Away The Pound dvd's, the Biggest Loser, Denise Austin, Turbo Jam and some Prevention ones that I do. And I walk a lot! No matter what I walk...then add the dvd's witht he walking. Honestly, I love the Walk Away the Pound DVD's the best. The ones I have been doing lately are a set of three with the Walkblaster...Slim & Thin, Firm & Shape and Sculpt & Burn. I add one to my walking that I do everyday. The Denise Austin Burn Fat Fast and the Turbo Jam are killers for me, but in a good way, lol. I have to have variety so that I don't get bored and I am always looking for new ones.

I have many dvds and mix them up, I love the ball and have a few dvds that have exercises for it. Still to this day my Jane Fonda step tapes always work for me in toning and losing weight.

Okay - it depends how you want to classify "Beginner"

If You NEVER really excerised - or just have been excerising for a while.
I reccomend any of the Transfirmation series. ie:
Total Body Time Crunch (Rebekah Sturkie)
Core Solutions (Alison Davis)
Ultimate Fat Burner (Alison Davis)
Tight Buns, Killer Legs(Kelsie Daniels)
Tina Smalley's Fat BUrning Workouts (Either with the Cords or the Ball)
and the cardio-weights system (that includes 4 dvds).

If you are a beginner but want a challenge (and don't mind dated stuff). I STRONGLY reccomend: Firm Classics 1-3. (they are awesome and they will whip your butt).

Also - if you like step - get anything "Fanny Lifter" or "Transfirmer" invest in that, and it will be good. the Firm is something that you can seriously grow into. you can do any of thse "advanced" stuff, w/o weights or the lightest weights and then just heavy up on it. that's what I did

I've done The Firm off and on for 18 years. When I was getting ready for my wedding and wanted to up my routine (workout in morning and evening), my morning routine consisted of The Firm. I've always loved their workouts and think that you can modify them pretty easily to be hard or easy.

I have to admit I am a Leslie Sansone junkie. I lover her personality. She is very motivational to me. Her and I are exactly the same age and if she can look like that lol I can look like that again. Some find her to talking and bubbly. Well, I am talky and bubbly so she and I workout well together lol. I have probably 2 dozen of her videos so I mix them up. Sometimes I do a few and then will switch to others. I can't say which are my favorite ( I really like her christian workouts ) workouts because that can change from week to week. Her walking/aerobic videos and her toning videos are one of the reasons my body is becoming the body I wanted to have back. I have to admit I don't see any difference in how fast I lose weight rather I exercise or not. Still stays the same about a pound a week BUT the toning that is going on with my body is well worth the effort of exercise.

I like those! I have the Transfirmation kit too but I prefer to do the Firm kit with the weights. But between the two sets I have 8 different workouts to rotate, which I like.

Wow thanks so much for all the input and information. I am glad to hear that a lot of you mix things up and don't stick to just one program. I think that will work best for me.

I have been using workout with jackie for a couple of weeks now . This dvd is not too hard for beginning weight training .

http://www.netflix.com/Movie/Workout...ng_with_Jackie

I also go to the gym daily and do the treadmill for an hour.
