I'll let everyone else do the grocery list thing, but I'll give you a tip about saving money on your grocery list! Food prices have skyrocketted, as you will soon find out. What I do to stretch every dollar is the following:
Read the ads for the markets in my area. See what is on sale.
Make my menus for the following week off of the sale items as much as possible. This will also help expose you to try new things you may not have tried before. Try new fresh fruits, veggies, lean meats... etc
If something I find myself eating a lot of ie boneless skinless chicken breasts, canned beans, brown rice, frozen veggies.. etc. stock up on them when on sale.
Watch the ads.. did I say that before?
If you have a Trader Joe's in your area, not only do they have some unusual items in stock, but their prices are better than the grocery store on a lot of items and I find the produce fresher. If you dont have a Trader Joe's. check in your area for Farmer's markets.
Good recipe sites to use to make menus with all of your on sale items, aside from the one here at 3fc are
www.allrecipes.com www.recipezaar.com Almost all of their recipes have full nutritional information.
www.foodtv.com is also good, although the nutritional info is lacking on some recipes.
So take the ideas the others are giving you for what to eat, and watch those sales.. you can save a ton of $ Just think lean meats, fresh veggies and fruits, whole grains and good fats and low fat dairy and you'll do fine.
