I don't really see the point in starting in Phase 2 because the diet is designed to detox the body from high-glycemic foods for two weeks during Phase 1. If that isn't done, the chances for success, IMO, would be hampered by cravings.
If you are pregnant or have very little to lose, it's recommended that you start with Phase II. I don't know if we have any chickies who did that.
