I'm baaaaacckkk!!!

Wow and we even have a new thread started already!!

Baylee I am going to check out that site when I get done babbling here!

Kat only about 22 more hours...gee...I wonder how much weight I could lose in that time?? I should have had my hair cut too...darn! Oh well...you will just have to see me as I am..then maybe next time you see me I will be thinner and have a decent hair cut! Improvement!! Kinda like before and after!!

Ok...the yogurt cheese....today I mixed 1/2 cup of yogurt cheese with 1 1/2 t. splenda and 1/2 cup of blueberries that I mashed all in it and it became a pretty purple color...my favorite color! It was soooo good! It is perfect for bagels and the whole half cup was only 1 1/2 points so if you used it a few times on your bagels during the week you have a low low point spread! When I was mashing the blueberries in it I was thinking it would be easier to use some all fruit jam in it too! Whatever flavor you like!

After lunch Andrew and I took a nap...sometimes I feel worse afterwards! I should get my rear up and going and do something constructive today! I think I am going to join a mom's group until I go back to work so I can get out and meet people and Andrew can play with some kids!

Ok I will check back again later to see who came out to play! Have a great day! MIchelle

Phew....my post made it! Andrew went in the living room and picked up the phone and hit the talk button. He was carrying it into the bedroom and I could hear the noise and raced to send my post before I got bumped off...kids! Gotta love 'em!

HELLLLLLLOOOOO!

Anybody home????

I had a great dinner and even better dessert! I had a little tiny very lean steak and some broccoli and then Andrew and I shared a cup of vanilla frozen yogurt with a tablespoon of chocolate sauce on top and some ff cool whip! All for 6 points. I still banked 5 points today! That is if I can keep myself out of the kitchen for the rest of the night. John is working late again tonight and when he gets home we have to watch a movie we rented because it needs to go back tomorrow by noon. I will probably be asleep before it even starts!

So...I have news to report...Kat's husband burst my bubble tonight! She has to postpone our meeting till NEXT friday 'cause hubby wants to spend some quality time with her...I am so jealous!! I need a husband like that too! Plus they are so cute...they miss their kids so much! I can relate to that...even when I was working I couldn't wait to pick Andrew up at daycare! Its nice to see families actually being families today!! I long for the Little house on the prairie days!

My mother called me tonight...my sister is in the hospital...she has kidney stones or a kidney stone. Did I tell you all that yet? Since it won't pass she is going to have surgery tonight at some point. At 6:30 she was still waiting.....I called her up last night and said some people will do anything to get a day off work! She was kinda drugged up and I don't think she really thought I was funny...she said I will be out for at least the rest of the week not just one day! Duh! Wish I had her drugs! LOL

Ok so I babbled enough for now..I wish there was someone in here to talk to tonight.

Guess I'll go surf the web for a bit and check back before I log off for the night.

I give up...just lost a long post... I just can't re-create it now...it was funny too...I just sit here and laugh at myself...what a dork!

Gotta run...I MUST get ready earlier tonight for work...I wasn't too late last night, punched in at 11:15...

Where the heck is Malia? Come out of the secret garden, Miss Hawaii!
Miss you!

Thumbs down What are we? A handful of cashews?

I can't even tell you guys how much I love you! You are all seriously a bunch of nuts! Especially Kat! You are the craziest thing I have ever seen! I laughed myself silly with your "report". Not a whole lot to talk about today. I am getting very tired of Frosted Flakes for breakfast. If I see Tony the Tiger again, I may just run amuck. We have a cafeteria downstairs in the hospital and they have some very good choices for breakfast and they have some very bad choices for breakfast. But unfortunately, I usually don't get there early enough to grab something before I start work. Plus, to be honest, I'm usually not really hungry first thing in the morning. I don't usually get hungry till around 10:00 and I think by then the cafeteria is closed, preparing for lunch. Gee, I thought there wasnt much to say, but I just spent a whole paragraph on how I'm in a breakfast rut.

Michelle: That's a deal my friend. Send me your number and I'll send you mine. And I don't have to call you collect. I don't care to pay for long distance, but I don't have to! I've got free long distance on my cell phone! And by the way..........me and you, tropical island........it's a date!

Kat: You and your posts! You are just too creative! I hope maybe one day you and I can meet as well. I love your sense of humor. I know Michelle is dissapointed about you guys not getting together this weekend, but a little one on one time with hubby isn't all that bad either. Empty nest syndrome, huh? Thank goodness I won't have that for awhile.

Baylee: Thanks for the website sweetie! Sounds great. I can't wait to try it! Putting it all online sounds like a really good idea and I love that kind of stuff.

2cute: So glad you are back! I missed you. I was so shocked when I weighed in on Tuesday. But I was prepared, good or bad. I still want to kick myself for all the time that I lost, but that's water under the bridge I guess. How is the family doing?

Thin: So good to see you my friend. How is the job going? Busy as usual, I bet. And what you said really stuck with me.......that some of this stuff must be sinking in. I really believe that. I just have to think on some level I was conscious of what I was doing or at least I was eating enough to maintain. There is no way I could have done it without all of your love and support.

Well, to everyone else, hope you are having a good night. I'm gonna hop out of here and get to the bathroom. We went out to a Chinese Restaurant tonight and that food works better than any laxative (sorry if I spelled that wrong) on the market!!

Love you guys and I'll see you tomorrow!!

Good evening everyone.
Coming here sure puts a smile on my face.

I spent the entire day in bed. I went to bed last night before 9pm
woke up at 4am ... back in bed by 6:45am... slept till 10am... back in bed by noon.... slept till 3pm and did NOT want to get up then either. I would have NEVER gotten up if I didn't have to pee so much.

Tonight we went to see the grandbabies.
DIL cooked us dinner too. Those babies are soooooo sweet !!!!!
I wish so much that I could be a better grandma. I wish I could get down on the floor and play. It really hurts knowing that this FAT stands between me and playing on the floor with them. It is sooooo senseless.

Baylee... thanks for the web site. I put it into my favorites and I plan on going back and checking it out more closely.

Michelle... sorry to hear about the delay in meeting Kat. That would be a big disappointment.
Did you sleep through your movie?? Which one was it?
I am with you.... I love seeing families being family.
When my youngest daughter got a scholarship to a pricey private high school she was "different". Her friends were "AMAZED" that we all sat around and talked about our days together... everyday. Her school mates never talked with their families... they seldom even saw each other. In one hand they were envious of our closeness.... but on the other hand... they didn't even like their parents and did not want to be close.
We are definitely NOT a perfect family... but we are a close one.

Kat... I know you are disappointed too but you won either way.
Meet Michelle - or - spend quality time with loving hubby.
Either way... you win. LOL
I had to laugh at you AGAIN. When I "used" to get to post a lot (and did not have so many family problems).... I "used" to write some cute stuff myself. AND... I would laugh at myself too. I guess we are both dorks. I miss those good ole days.

Grannie... Miss Reference Specialists... congrats.
We already knew how "special" you were.

Tina.... Heaven help us if you would have had something to say about breakfast. I always say that it takes me one hour to tell you about a 15 minute event. LOL
I got a hoot from your description of chinese eating. LOL.
Why is it that chinese food effects so many people that way?

JoeAnne... that is great... another 1 1/2 pounds loss. !!!!
And it is even greater about the walking. I think that is a wonderful idea to have a goal of 100 miles. I once thought about having a walking goal to each of your home towns... but you are talking LOTS of miles then. A little unrealistic.
I am sooooo PROUD of you.

I sure appreciate all of you. Thanks for being here for me.

Talking A Couple of Losers...

Tonight, on a whim, I asked my husband to get on the scale. Since I've been on a diet over the last 2 months, he's been eating healthier by necessity--I buy the groceries and cook most of the meals! Now... we only have about half our meals together (usually dinner) so about half the time, he's still been eating whatever he wants (I still buy a few "junkie" foods--one's that don't tempt me-for him when I shop). I've also been dragging him out on walks and to play tennis. I've said all this to say... he's lost about 12 pounds in the last 5 weeks or so... not even trying!!!

That is 99% great news and 1% annoying-the-****-outta-me as I would NEVER lose weight without trying!

So... I'm starting to get excited about my vacation to New York City. We're leaving on July 21st and coming home on the 26th. We're staying in a hotel right downtown (called The Belvedere), going to a broadway show, taking a boat tour past the statue of liberty, etc. Although I've only been part of this thread for a month or so, I'm already thinking "Man, I'm gonna be SOOO behind reading the posts!"

Michelle... I know what you mean about it being nice when families really miss one another and look forward to being together! I know some families that seem to find their kids a complete annoyance and it's very disheartening for someone planning on having kids in a few years! It's nice to know that both you and Kat really miss their children and look forward to seeing them again! (Not that you don't also appreciate a bit of a break!!!)

Kat... Did you lose that post because you were overdoing it on the smilies again?

2Cute... Nice to have you back from your mother's. You're probably tired--taking care of others is a lot of hard work!

Time to catch some shut-eye! Hello to everyone else out there too! Post, post, post so I have something to read in the morning!

Sara

The weather is wonderful here. Sure wish I could stay home and enjoy it.

After all the procrastinating I have done, I weighed myself and am happy to report I have remained the same. I was sure I had gained 10 lbs. It’s probably because it has been so hot & humid here and that causes sweat….

Kat & Michelle, now you get a whole week to anticipate seeing one another…you COULD take picture to share with the rest of us. So, I have to ask, are you going to eat together? And where are you going? Make sure you tell all you talk about ….. we will be waiting in anticipation too.

I was trying to remember, when was it that Malia said she was going on her European vacation? Or maybe she is getting ready for it.

Elvis was good. He seemed to acquire a new age group of fans. The people under 10 were dancing, screaming, and following him everywhere. It was fun.

Congrats, Joanne, on your walking.

Well, it’s off to start my Friday at work. I should have some time this weekend to catch up with all of you.

Good morning everyone! RIse and Shine!!

We are all ready to go out and run our errands 'cept we have to wait till 9 am to do a couple of them. So by the time I get done posting here we can leave!

Lucky we have been having great weather here too....its so cool and comfortable. I wish it could just stay this way year round! And on the picture idea....I left my camera at the zoo in Cape May New Jersey a couple of weeks ago on a bench in front of the zebras. John went right back to get it and it was already gone. But the joke is on the person that took it. I developed a roll of film after that and found out it only took one picture on the whole roll and it was really dark. So the camera was a dud! And to answer your questions...we are meeting at Denny's. I figured that I can get Andrew some french fries and we won't hear from him the whole time...but I have no self control so I will probably eat...I can't speak for Kat but I surely know I will be eating OP! I am determined to get this weight off again!

2Cute....I did manage to stay up to watch the whole movie. It was behind enemy lines. It was pretty good. Except I can't take the suspense! I want to know right away the outcome...though in most movies the outcome is always positive! I find that if I DON"T lay down on the couch then I am less likely to fall asleep so each time that I found myself leaning towards John's lap I sat myself back up again.

Mary glad your hubby made it home. John hasn't been home before 9 all week long. Most nights its after 10 and he leaves at 6 am. He already had in over 40 hours in 3 days of work. And the scary part is he is a driver. They don't care that they are breaking DOT regulations. And they have nerve to complain when they don't get in all their deliveries!

Joeanne thats a great idea..the walking challenge! I am going to have to do something like that to motivate myself to exercise!

Tina....pick your island! We can dream about it now and plan and use it to help us stick to our goal!! John keeps saying he wants to go to Jamaica again but he took his ex there so why the heck would he think I would want to go there??? Men....ya gotta love them...they just don't get it!!

Sara don't let anyone talk you out of having kids! They are a joy! I waited a long time for mine and he is the best thing that ever happened to me! I keep telling him I waited a long time to have him because I had to find the perfect daddy for him! My ex was a nightmare for 19 years....lucky for me I was smart enough not to have kids with him! Taking care of someone elses kids is different than when its your own. You will protect your own till the bitter end know matter what! The love is phenomenal!!

Kat....all I can say ( or rather sing) is ANTICIPATION! Isn't that a Carly Simon song??

Ok the time just flew by. We are off to do our errands so I will catch up to you all later today! I hope some of you come out to post to help keep me out of the kitchen!!
