Red face yet another newbie.....

Hi,

This is my 6th week on weight watchers and I have lost 11.2 pounds so far doing the points system. I have lost before but I really like the WW approach-I can see myself losing and more importantly maintaining the weight loss for life. Anyone else on WW?

I have 3yo twin boys and 1yo twin kitty cats (ok- not really twins but brothers)

I am an ES teacher and I am really enjoying my summer off- I am worried about returning to work in the Fall and maintaining the healthy eating and exercise. I'm hoping to have everything in such a routine that it will not be that hard to continue.

Have a great day!

Alicia

Alicia!!

Sounds like you're right on track! Congrats on the 11.2 pounds!!

Don't worry about going back to school and eating. By then you'll be so used to it you won't even have to think about it.

See you around the boards!!

Hi Alicia!
I am a newbie, too!

I have heard great things about WW although I have not tried the program myself, too expensive!

I think you will be just fine when you go back to school.
Have you ever read the book "Who Moved The Cheese?" Its THE BEST little book. Its a motivational book that teaches fun little lessons on how to handle change effectively. You'll just need to realize how important your weight loss is to you and find tools to help you along the way!

You can soooo do it!

Enjoy your summer! You deserve it! No worries!

Default Gas grills?

Thank you all for your warm welcomes! I am still going strong with the WW. My attitude is different this time around- I'm thinking more of the future and how to keep the weight off- and also losing a lot slower than I have in the past- but also much healthier. I keep thinking that I really don't want the boys to remember me as the fat mama. I started walking last week- I take my guys with me in the double stroller- nothing like pushing 60 pounds of boys up a hill to break a sweat!

I'm going to go buy a gas grill today at Target- I've had a charcoal one all these years but the PITA factor and the whole carcinogens(?) from the charcoal have me freaked out. Anyone else grill regularly with a gas grill?

Hope you all have a great day!
