New thread - wow, I guess that means that the year is half over. I'm happy to say that I'm down 2.0 lbs this week to 290.8. I've been retaining water like mad this week so yesterday I made a point to drink more than I usually do. It worked as I'm actually 2.2 pounds lighter than yesterday morning. I didn't need to weigh myself to know it had worked though. No sleep lines that stayed while I was cooking breakfast.
Weighed in on Monday at 313.2, down 3.2 since the previous week and making my total for the year 22.2. I hit my first 20 lbs! While I can't really see a difference yet (although people have started to comment), I can fit in old scrubs that didn't fit two months ago, and I'm not hurting after a two hour hike.
My next 20 lbs will bring me lower than I have been since hurricane Katrina (not a good way to lose weight, really). I wonder what I'll be able to do then?
Weight this morning was 292.0, which is up 1.2 pounds from last week. This isn't a huge shock as I was specifically trying not to lose this week, and the 2.2 lb loss from Sat to Sun last week obviously wasn't a real one. So the only upswing was Monday's weigh-in and the rest of the week was steady (which was the point). So, back to my regular calorie levels and my regular exercise.
I am new to these boards but up for the chalenge... I am losing my weight for health reasons.. my goal is to be ambulatory - no wheelchair by December 31! Hugs to All ... WytchyMama
