Can anyone recommend a good reduced fat hot dog? DH and I want to grill out before the fireworks on Fri., but I haven't eaten a hot dog in over 2 years! Thanks!
Hebrew National 97% fat free beef franks. 45 calories each. I don't know how well they grill, but they taste really good on a roll with mustard, pickles and sauerkraut
What if you don't like beef hotdogs? Any suggestions? I grew up in the Midwest, and never had a beef hot dog until I moved to the Northeast. Just don't like that beefy taste!

Personally, I prefer chicken sausage to hot dogs. You can find some great flavors--I like Gerhardt's Pesto Turkey Sausage and Chardonnay Chicken Sausage (both are sold by Trader Joe's).
I usually saute some onions and peppers to eat with my sausage. If I'm trying to be particularly low cal, I eat it over polenta instead of on a bun.
Applegate makes delicious ones, both beef and turkey that are organic, grass fed and nitrate free! They only have the meat, water and spices in them. The turkey ones are only 80 calories and while 50 of them are from fat, I love that they're organic, kinda evens things out for me.
