The things I have to ask are:

1. Are you eating enough leafy greens?
2. Are you taking fiber supplements?
3. Are you taking your daily vitamins WITHOUT iron?
4. And lastly, are you drinking at least 64 oz. of water (not other liquids)?

From everything I've read, some people get headaches and feel achy, almost fluish by day 5 (others, like me, don't), but it should go away within the next day or two.

If it doesn't, and you are doing all the above, you should see your doctor. You might actually have the flu!

Default Muscle Ache

I get the Muscle Ache alot too I have been working out at the gym 3 days a week and doing the Atkins and the weight is coming off fast. I drink tons of water but I keep getting Charlie Horses. My step dad who has done Atkins and lost alot of weight on he went from like 500 and something to 240 said that I need potassium. You can have nuts on the Atkins and they contain potassium in them and make sure to definatley take a vitamin. I started the induction phase a month ago and lost about 10 lbs and then I went off for a while bad me lol. Then Last Wed. I had an Assesment at the gym I was 246 today I weighed in at 235 so the weight is dropping off.

Just wanted to clarify, yes...nuts are allowed on Atkins...however, they are not permitted during Induction. They are on the 3rd rung of the carb ladder when you progress to OWL (On Going Weight Loss).

Paula, sounds like you are experiencing "Induction Flu"...its common & should should pass over in a few days
