You can get flax seed at a grocery store or Health Food store. I don't count it as anything. Go to
http://www.nutritiondata.com/facts/n...roducts/3163/2 to check out the nutritional data. I mean, at 1 g. of fat., 1 g protein and 1 g. of fiber per tsp. it's just not busting the nutritional budget IMO. The "sugar" content is so low that you have to get up to 1 cup to finally register 3 g. And, I feel the benefits far outweigh the consequences. Also, I can get away with a little variance since on my day shifts I'm a Blaster and get between 15 and 20,000 steps/day in.
I do about 3 tsp. a day 1 tsp at a time in different things. On MF I put 1 tsp. in my shakes and 1 on my salad. Also, you shouldn't count the fiber as a carb against your diet since fiber isn't digested. It is a carb but your body doesn't process it, it just gives other toxins and waste products a piggyback to ride out of you system. That's why it is so good for keeping your system "moving" so to say.
