Default Healthy New Year Goals

For 2002 I want to..

Track exercise again. I miss reporting and tracking mileage (It always inspired me to get out and do some walking).

Improve water intake.

Eat more veggies and fruit.

Stop eatting when full (I've done really good at this during 2001 and want to continue and do better in 2002).

.........less diet soda (I hate this one)

More water, less diet Coke. I've begun this now -- no more Diet Coke is being bought for our home. But dang, what to do when I'm eatin' on the road?

30 minutes exercise every single day. This can be walkin' in my neighborhood or heading down to the gym or anything in between.

Here goes...

*More water
*Exercise at least 4 times a week
*A small (and not what I classify small ) portion of sweets or chocolate once a week as my treat
*STICK WITH IT no matter what

My New Year's goals...or after Christmas goals:

1. Get the full gallon of water in every day, not 3 liters.

2. Get to the gym at least 2 times a week, and do home exercise at least 1-2 times a week.

3. Plan my meals at least a day in advance, if not at the beginning of the week.

4. Think seriously about my health everytime I want to give in to temptation.

5. Get into that little black dress (which I don't own yet) by DH's company's huge anniversary party in May.

6. Have DH keep on me about my health and my goals.

7. Hang this list on my fridge and refer to it at least once a day!

Ok, my goals are ~

To make a new change every month during the year 2002 on the road to changing my life regarding food (and exercise)

To continue cardio kickboxing, drink water, STOP myself from eating when I am feeling emotions or when I am not hungry and when I have had enough.

To focus on nourishing my body instead of eating for other reasons.

To journal... I thought I didn't need to... but I do.

That ought to be enough to do the job.

dani
Good luck everyone!

SO...how is everyone doing with these New Year's Goals?! Hmmm??

Do you want to keep this stuck here, or start a new thread for Goals?

I, for one, have done horrible with mine. I need to make up a new list of goals and stick to them!

Lauren I'm with you on this. Let this one fall away. I almost hate seeing it 'stickied' up at the top because it keeps reminding me how much I'm failing this year. I need to refocus and create new goals again - its just so hard during this time of year when we're traveling so much. - jul

Since I have a post here, (I had no idea) I get a vote on this one. I also think it can go. It isn't being used. The last posts were in December.

I hope you are all doing well. I read every few weeks or so but I never post because I don't want to keep coming in and out on you. Besides there are a lot of new people who don't know me at all.

I am at my highest weight ever. I am failing miserably at the weight loss thing. (maybe it coincides with my not posting here regularly... hmm I'll give that some thought). In happy news, those of you who knew we were looking for a house, we found one and will move (after 14 months of renting month to month) at the end of July. All is well with us.

have a great day!
