Smile Crystal Light packets

If I should have 8 glasses of water a day how many do you think I could put those packets in. I was wondering does it still count as your water for the day and are they bad for you (health wise)? Any information would be helpful. Thanks

All of them. Even caffeine is not nearly as dehydrating as claimed.

I love crystal light. I might even be addicted to it. The only think I would worry about is some of them do have some calories.

I take a crystal light to go pack and divide it into 3 or 4 16 ounces water bottles. It gives you a hint of lemon flavor.

Has anyone tried the Splenda Flavor Accents? I'm totally addicted. I use them in just about every single bottle of water I drink. They're great because they aren't as heavy as a Crystal Light - just a hint of flavor in the background. Love the lemon!

I'll have to see if I can find the Splenda Flavor Accents here in Canada. I use the crystal light and nestea ones once in a while. I refuse to pay $$$ for the splash packs from LAWL.

When I use the Crystal Light to go pouches, I always put one packet into my one 32oz container of water. Otherwise for me personally, the flavor is way to strong. Plus then I'm only using two a day rather than how they receommend mixing it.

I didn't think that you could count Crystal Light towards your daily waters. I also thought that they limit it to 24 oz. daily. Can anyone clarify this?
I love Crystal Light and would love to count it towards my water.
Thanks!

Weight Watchers and other plans often set "rules" on water, but they're not based in fact. Even caffeinated beverages "count" as my mother learned the hard way when she had to be hospitalized for water intoxication (also called water poisoning - possibly deadly as it depletes electrolytes, primarily sodium).

My mother was at greater risk because of her naturally low sodium diet and diuretic blood pressure medication (I'm on the same medications, and also tend towards low sodium levels, so I try to limit liquids - of all types to 3 quarts per day). As her WW leader recommended, Mom wasn't counting her coffee. As her kidney specialist pointed out, if coffee were dehydrating, then people who drink only coffee (and there are many) would die of dehydration in a few days (they don't). Also, in medieval times, people drank no water whatsoever. Beer was much safer and almost as hydrating (safer because the mixture was boiled, but people didn't know that, they only knew beer was safer, so even children drank it).

Also the 8 glasses of water (or any beverage for that matter) is a myth, but can be helpful for dieting. Thirst, for most people, is a sufficient indicator of water needs. You can drink more without harm (within reason), but in a nutshell, count it all.

I buy the 2.2 litre h2o to go jug from Walmart (in Canada) and fill it to the top with water (so I am getting slightly more than 8 glasses of water!) and then add 2 crystal lite to go pkgs ( I am addicted to watered down crystal lite!) I count this as my water. I am going to start counting half of my coffee as some of my water to! Thanks for that coffee info Kaplods!

I also use the crystal light and have for years with no problem. I had asked a dietition here about a year ago about that and the flavored waters and she told me that as long as that wasn't necessarily all I drank I would be ok. Sometimes I just have to have some flavor. plain water gets hard for me to get in otherwise some days. I absolutely love the grape aquafina - to me it tastes like grape kool-aid from when I was a kid. I have a couple bottles of that a week but not for every day.
