Default So I walked into a chocolaterie today

Expecting myself to go into a PMS-induced, full blown chocolate meltdown....

I walked out

Had the dark chocolate bark with honey roasted peanuts IN MY HAND.

Walked away!

I then got home late from work and ate my family's leftover McDonalds...which of course was not supposed to be in my house

I think there is something similar to crack in McDonalds.

Congrats on avoiding the chocolate temptation!

You'll do better next time up against the McD's.

I can take or leave McD's, but I don't think I could have passed up dark chocolate with honey roasted peanuts. Congratulations on that victory.

wow.. congrats! I don't even go to three malls that are in my area because they have dessert places like that as well. Plus these specific malls are more upper scale and therefore more expensive!

Good for you walking away from the chocolate!!! McDonalds can be tough, too. Good progress.

One battle at a time! I can identify though, sometimes when I feel best about a tough moment, I am most vulnerable to the next.

Celebrate the chocolate battle...every time we meet temptation and win we build those muscles.

I think, even after losing 48 pounds, I would have lost BOTH those battles... so good for you! You're stronger than me!

Way to go! You're stronger than me. I had something similar happen to me yesterday. PMS for starters..I went to the store and walked around for an hour talking myself out of buying this brownie I wanted. I finally left without it. Later last night I had to go back to the store and I wasnt so strong this time. I got the brownie I'll do better next time!

WTG on walking away from the chocolate. You can do this and I'm with you on the Mcdonald's having something in it.

I'm the same way. Chocolate yes, McD's no.
It's a hard battle to fight.

Way to go on passing on the chocolate - dark chocolate covered almonds are my weakness - I avoid them at all costs.

I know what you mean by MCD's -but once I gave it up for a month and then I tried it again- I honestly did not like it anymore. I used to swear that they had something in the fries........but now - not so much.......

GOOD JOB!!

Thanks for the support everyone. There seem to be surprise battles everywhere you turn. It's the unexpected I find even harder to deal with - I'm a bit of a control freak. I do all the grocery shopping and my kids are very young so it's generally easy to avoid much of the junk at home.

DH knowing I would be home very late from work decided on McD's as a treat, which is cool. Never in the generations of history of McD's in either of our families has there been leftovers. Couldn't have even imagined it. My diet sent him on a bit of a binge of his own and he couldn't get through it all lol.

That won't be happening again (at home at least)!
