Hobbies anyone?
I'm wondering what yours are. I'm thinking of taking one up for something to do on my days off. I have a 1-year-old and a p/t job...but I find myself getting bored and snacking.
Thinking of something my daughter and I can do together, perferably outside. Maybe gardening or something like that.

I've decided to take up bicycling. Just ordered my daughter a little helmet.
What better hobby than that for losing weight?

With a one year old and the comments about getting bored & snacking, I'm thinking you're looking for something you can do around the house to keep your hands busy, but that you can drop at a moments notice and not have to worry about something being left out, open, on, etc.
knitting, crocheting
cross-stitch
reading
crossword/sudoku
gardening, garden boxes, raised garden beds (square foot gardening)
scrapbooking (you must be accumulating photos)
beading?
stamping - small projects like greeting cards
just a few thoughts

My 10-month old and I walk around the mall a lot and sometimes I will take him to the park when it is nice out. I play softball at night though probably 4 times a week and everyone on the team helps me watch him. When I feel guilty about it, they say, "Afterall, it takes a village to raise a child; don't worry about it."

I crochet, knit, and I've started making my own yarns. I also do a lot of paper crafts and stuff like that.

I have been gardening like a mad woman... Digging, planting bulbs, flowers, roto-tilling, shoveling dirt, lifting edging blocks, trying to landscape the yard... It has been fantastic exercise (and a lot of work, too!) but there is nothing more satisfying than to see those little green plants sprout out of the ground and produce pretty flowers.
