Default Okay, so now I am REALLY MAD!!

Okay, ladies (and gentlemen), I am REALLY MAD - at myself! I have never, not one time since joining 3FC early last year had to change my avatar by going BACKWARDS! But, I had to today. You see, I have lost focus of my ultimate goal, 150, and have gained 5 lbs. That made me have to change my avatar from the 80-lbs-lost chick back to the 75-lbs-lost chick, and I'm NOT LIKING IT.

So...... I publicly pledge to myself right here, right now on May 13, 2008, that I am starting over. I REFUSE to go back any further, and I REFUSE to let all my hard work this past year go down the drain. So, as of right now, 2:57 a.m. CST on 5/13/08, I am recommitting and starting again. I KNOW it is very possible to acheive my goal of 150, and I know that me losing track isn't the end of the world, but I also know that it is a slippery slope if I don't stop myself RIGHT NOW.

Thank you for letting me vent and for the WONDERFUL support from this community. I have been inspired by the successes of the recent contests I initiated, but I have also been aggravated at myself for not being able to meet the goals of my own contests! But, that is all in the past, and look forward I will. I look forward to getting this weight off and reaching my goal of 150 this year!!

RitzyFritz, in the grand scheme of things you have done awesomely! Ok, so you have gained back 5 pounds but that is just a little wobble in your success story. Don't be too hard on yourself You've caught yourself and I'm sure you're going to continue down your path of a healthier lifestyle. You continue going, girl!

Hey well done to you for stopping yourself right now from regressing! That is the biggest thing you can do and you'll lose those 5lbs in no time! Put this down to experience and in the future you can recognize the signs and stop yourself from gaining weight.

Good luck and dont stay mad at yourself for too long. Optimism is the way forward!

Good for you...rededicating to your plan. Those few pounds will be gone before you know. You CAN do this. Plan for a healthy day and carry on. You've been doing wonderfully in the long run.

Kudos to you for your honesty!!

Five pounds is a pretty small wake up call -- the little boost to get you going. I'm proud of you for changing your avitar -- a lot of people would never make that change, but would just correct the problem "privately" until they were back where they started.

I think your honesty and recommitment will bring you to the end of 2008 at goal. And, your hard work has definitely inspired me!!

Good for you!! There's probably a lesson to be learned here - so take advantage of the fact that its 5 and not 50!

Get back on track - and do something nice for yourself (non-food, of course, LOL!)

Way to go! You can do this! I have to congratulate you on being aware and stopping yourself right this very moment before it got out of control. Those 5 lbs will come off, and so will the other 30. You can do this!!!!

Getting restarted can be even harder than starting out. Good job for taking the bull by the horns! And congrats on the huge progress you've made towards your long term goal.

Good to see you Ritzy.

5lbs is exactly the point where you don't want to cross and apparently you're in full agreement. Which is a good thing. EXCELLENT, simply EXCELLENT job for recognizing this and putting a halt to it. I think that in and of itself is quite remarkable. Quite. When I look back over the past 20+ years, I think if only I had done that...........

What a roller coaster ride this journey is. You know how to lose and lose again you will. There is absolutely zero doubt in mind, zero, that you WILL lose those 5 lbs and many more - THIS - VERY - YEAR.

You all are awesome! Of course, this is the reason I love this place so much! Thanks to you all for your kind words and encouragement. Where else could I have gone and whined like I did only to get hands outstretched to help me back up!? I know of nowhere else but 3FC! Thanks again. You all are so important to my success, and thanks to each of you for your contribution.

I just wanted to add my congratulations to you for facing up to the situation and reacting so positively to it. It's so easy to blind ourselves to it, and then the 5 pounds turn into 20 and you lose all hope of ever getting anywhere. Good on you, and look how far you've come - you're an inspiration, and will carry on being one
