just popping in here while I have a second.

we have a first birthday party to go to sometime today.....Tommy is off gallivanting somewhere with the boys. he claims he was going to the dumpster but Logan took off after him so I had to run in my slippers just to catch up to him! then of course Brandon followed right behind us.

we went to the race track last night, and I convinced Tommy to place a bet on the Derby. We won! Our horse, Big Brown, won the derby! Tommy has been bugging me to go to the casino but I don't see a point in it, now going to the track, that is something different! we hung around there for a little bit so the kids could see some of the horses that were there doing live racing. then we left because it started to get really windy.

we talked to the set of godparents that work there, and right now we are trying to set up a little date night for me and Tommy and them this coming Saturday. We are either going to go to the movies and possibly dinner. Or dinner and then a place here called Dave and Busters. We have to get a sitter first, which I am hoping that we can get!

gotta cut this short, I have a curly haired little princess that just fell asleep in the walker.

Default Count Me In!!

Hi.

I'd like to join. I'm not on a diet, but I'm eating more sensibly and in moderation. About 5 or 6 weeks ago, I got started exercising regularly until I started having a lot of sinus problems. I've still been losing (based on the way my clothes look), but I had fallen off the exercise wagon. I'm getting back to it tomorrow though.

This is my second day on the Master Cleanse. I'd read that it helps to really flush out mucous. That's my main goal with the Master Cleanse. Weight loss would be an added bonus, but I need to get my sinus problems under control. They either prevent me from exercising because I feel bad, or the meds make me too sleepy or nauseous to exercise. So I'm attempting 10 days. If all goes well, then I'll do it once every three months. All that aside, I'd really love to join your group. I could certainly use the support and I'd love to give it others.

My usual eating goes like this:
Breakfast: Nuts and fruit
Snack: Yogurt or Fruit
Lunch: Turkey or Chicken with rice or salad. Sometimes I have a pita sandwich that I make from home.
Snack: Yogurt or Fruit
Dinner: Fish, Turkey or Chicken with veggies, rice or salad.

My exercise:
Monday - Friday: Two or three Miles either with Leslie Sansone or at the track. I try to do Callanetics in the mornings, but it usually only happens once or twice week.

Saturday (sometimes): Rollerskating or water aerobics.

Hi Ladies~I hope everyone is having a wonderful evening

Amanda~ Welcome to our group. Jump in and make some great friends. It will be fun getting to know ya. What is the Master Cleanse you are doing?

Trish~ Yes, my middle name is Ann. I did not think Patricia was a popular name. I am finding out that it is. I went to urgent care this afternoon. There are two of us waiting to see the doctor. The nurse calls Patricia. I get up and so does the other lady. Then she calls the last name. They were very close also!!! Kinda freaked me out. If you are looking for great rose bushes at a budget price try Wal Mart, Meijer, or Rural King. They run $4.96 a rosebush. Same as the $12.95 ones at the nursery. Mine are all growing, made it through the cold Indiana winter. I bought all 7 tomato plants there last year. Had more tomotatoes than I could ever us. See what you can find.

Mindee~ CONGRATS on the 50 pounds gone. You rock!! Sounds like Brandon has got the terrible 2's!! The 3's are iffy too.

Everyone~Keep up the good work--don't want to leave out anyone.

At the urgent care office I had a long talk with the doctor. He said this is posion ivy; not oak. He gave me a stronger rx for Prednisone and take it for a longer time. He also ordered Benedryl for the itch. I told him the itch had to go NOW. He gave me some helpful tips, I left. Not to use the topical cream. I can shower, oh sweet shower! No more sponge baths. My heart goes out to any other chick that is suffering from posion ivy, oak, or sumack. It is torture. Sorry for whinning--I am over it now . I am finally getting some relief, hopefully I can get some much needed sleep tonight.

Then look out!!! I am planting what ever I can get put in the ground.

Talk to you all tomorrow. Thank you everyone. Pat

Default Thanks!

Patty and Dixie - Thanks for the welcome ladies. I love the way this thread moves.

Dixie, the Master Cleanse is supposed to clear your body of toxins and congestion. It's also supposed to cleanse your kidneys, liver, glands, colon and joints. It also allows your digestive system to rest. It helps to clear your complexion too. It's supposed to be done for 10 - 40 days. I'm only doing 10. I'm sure you've heard of it before. It's also called the Lemonade Diet and has been around for years. It works like this:

Before bed - 1 cup of Smooth Move (or laxative tea)

Salt water flush 1st thing in the morning - 1 quart of lukewarm water with teaspoons of sea salt.

Throughout the day you have 6 - 12 glasses of the Master Cleanse Lemonade. The recipe is 10 oz of water, 1 oz of fresh squeezed lemon or lime juice, 1 oz of grade b maple syrup and an 1/10 teaspoon of powered cayenne pepper.

You then break the fast over 3 days. The first day you have as much freshly squeezed orange juice mixed with equal part water. The second day you have the orange juice full strength. The third day you have orange juice in the morning, fresh fruit for lunch and a salad for dinner. By the fourth day you can ease back into eating normally.

If I make it all the way through like I plan, I'm going to do something really nice for myself. Like pedicure or new outfit. I think I'll deserve it.

Amanda~ welcome to the group! that sounds like a great plan!! good luck with it!

Pat~ Thanks for the congrats. I have been some of that 50 pounds back on, but it was due to being pregnant with Logan and Marissa. Thankfully, I didn't balloon up after having my tubes tied which I was fearing that I would! Now, I just need to get back into the swing of things as far as exercise, water and eating healthier!

Good morning, ladies,

I'm in a hurry (aren't I always!) but wanted to peek in and say hi. Also wanted to say that those that want to be a part of it, we can have a personal challenge right here in this thread. My daily goals for the week is to:
  • stay within WW points
  • do some deliberate exercise/strength training
  • journal food

Since I don't have a problem with drinking plenty of water, or taking my vitamin, I'm not listing those as a goal. Now, let's see how many days this week I make the listed goals. I won't be counting points, just keeping track of how I'm doing. Wish me luck!

Btw, welcome Amanda! I live in Indiana, and know all about sinus troubles. I've found that the worse my sinuses are, the worse my dark circles are. Nothing like feeling miserable and looking tired, too, lol.

Hello to everyone! I'll try to do indies later. Tomorrow I'll have Jackson, ( ) so may not be able to post.

Hey...I just got back from the ER. I was there for 3 hours!!!! I was there for 2reasons. 1-I started feeling these really sharp stomach pains and I was literly on the floor crawling crying because it hurt so much. And 2-because of that pain, I freaked out and had a panic attack. Then they had to give me oxygen because I couldnt catch my breath after having a 2nd panic attack while they tried to put an IV in me.

They did an ultrasound on my stomach and couldnt find anything wrong. They just think that I had a bad reaction to the food I ate last night, and probably had a little stomach bug. Which sounded like bs to me..but whatever. They gave me some meds to take if it happens again. I dont like the Naval hospital ER very much..but at least I have some meds, lol.

I'm gonna go try to get some sleep right now. I hope Fonzo calls me soon..

Hi ladies,

Welcome Amanda...you are right, this tread moves at a very quick pace. But there is great motivation here.

Sassy, sounds like a very nice dinner. I like tilapia, Applebees has a Cajun Lime Tilapia that I love.

Pat, hope your poison ivy gets better soon. I've only had it once and that was enough. Luckily I didn't have a bad case of it.

Mindee, Congrats on the winnings at the races. We have casinos here also. DH won big a few years ago, but I was in school full time and not working so it went fast!!!

Well, I'm off to see the doctor this afternoon. I'm still having a problem with the sore left shoulder, arm and neck. I haven't played the Wii in over a week, last week when I went to the emergency room (sudden nausea and left shoulder, thought it was the heart) the doctor said it was muscular skeletal, but the muscle relaxers and the anti imflamatory he gave me aren't helping.
So, maybe I can get it an xray so they can determine what is really wrong. I'm thinking arthritis, torn or pulled muscle (maybe) or a disc in my neck. I sure hope it isn't the latter.

Talk to you girls later.

OH Jane, good luck on your goals are to stay within points this week and get more exercise!

well, I feel like little Miss Susie Homemaker today. I have a chicken with redskin potatoes and vegetables in the crock pot cooking away! I called our worker on the kids insurance, and she claimed that it got canceled because we never gave her the new address. Which is BS because any time she sent us paper work to fill out, I made sure to put the new address on it! She said that she would change it in their system and it will be retroactive from May 1st. I am going to call back in a couple of days to make sure that it was taken care of so that we can go ahead and scheduled Brandon's ENT appointment.

Brandon made this really cute lily pad at school! It is a paper plate, that has a v shape cut out of it. He then painted it green, glued a pink tissue paper to it (as a flower) and then glued a frog to the plate.

Francie~ I hope you are feeling better now! My goodness you have been through the ringer!

Sassy~ I hope you are getting your rest that you need!

I have been doing the 2 mile Walk N Tone with Leslie Sansone in the morning and I am thinking of walking around the complex at night to boost my exercising and to see if it will help me out with my sleeping. With being sick and all, my sleep has been off. The past two nights I took a sinus/allergy pill and it helped me with my sleeping AND with my congestion and what not. But now that they are outside cutting the grass today, I can pretty much guarantee that I will need another pill tonight! (I have my mom's allergy to grass/trees and such)

Pat~ My FIL won a good amount about an year or so ago. Then his lung collapsed and he went into the hospital twice in a two month time span for the same thing. so his winnings helped with that.....among some other things!

Cool Hola Amigas!!!

Hola Amigas! Happy Cinco De Mayo!!!

I got my rest. I woke up feeling yucky and icky. But amazingly after I got to work, I felt 100% better.

Francie -- I sure can sympathize with ya. I've had stomach problems for a long time. But all I can say is be persistant. If you have anymore pains, go to the ER again. I say this because I had 7 ulcers in my stomach and now they are gone but just you know your body better than anybody, so if you feel pain that isn't right, go to the ER and be persistent. I know its frustrating. I hope you get some rest and feel better. What meds did they give you? If I may ask? My dr gives me a standing order of Phenergan, anti-nausea medicine. It makes me very very sleepy though so I only take it when absolutely necessary.........

Big

Short&Sassy: Thanks yes it was delicious and healthy at that! Who would have thought that I would have loved something healthy that much? lol. But that is good. Just shows I can do it. About your pain: I know I am not a dr, but my DH had simular pain and it was his gallbladder. Just something for them to check out if they can't find anything else.

Amanda:

Hi Jane.......Bye Jane! lol.

Mindee - Mmm sounds tasty. WTG on the exercise! Now can you give me some motivation? lol. I did get my rest, thanks.

Big to all!
