Most tea's are fine...the contraversy is over the caffeine...which seems to affect everyone differently. I, personally stay away from caffeine, it tends to make me extremely jittery & gives me headaches. The only thing you can do is give it a try & see if you have any ill effects...if you do, you'll know your body can't tolerate it.
Ginger tea should be fine. Just check the ingredients (as you have) and count the carbs. Some herb teas have none, but others, especially fruit teas, can have a couple carbs per cup.
