Default ONEderland

So, my weigh in on Saturday should put me in ONEderland officially. By my own scales I'm there, but that doesn't count yet! It's so weird...I never thought that I would make it this far. And I'm almost to my halfway point, too. What are some of the things that keep you all motivated? I don't want to give up now!

When I go to work everyday, I go past UP and they have a really cute dress on the mannequin that I am determined to not just fit into but look GOOD in by the time I go on vacation (mid to late July).

I haven't actually bought anything yet, but just saying "I want that" is going to keep me going. I've been at it for over a month now, the longest I've ever stuck with a weight loss plan and everytime I see inches drop or feel my hard work pay off, it's worth it. Remember though, the most important motivation is to do it for yourself and your health. Think about how many years you're ADDING to your life by getting in shape.

Good luck on getting into the 100s, I know you can do it!

Woohoooooo
Congrats on reaching ONEderland!!

As far as keeping me going.. I only just re-started under a month ago, but I HAVE done this before. I was of average weight (124 pounds) before I married and had a child (not always being average weight, btw, I actually previously lost 90 pounds to get there.. and THEN got married and had a child). But that keeps me going. I did it before, I can (and will) again. AND the CLOTHES keep me going. I HATE clothes shopping at this weight.. it's frustrating to try in 10 pairs of pants and finding nothing. I had a ROCKIN' closet filled with awesome clothes when I was smaller... I SO want to have that closet again.

Husband and I are going on a cruise next year for our 5th anniversary/my 30th birthday.. that's WICKED motivating for me. We're going to Bermuda! Plain and simple- I wanna be HOT I want to be able to wear a bathing suit.

But what really keeps me going is me.. I just want to be healthy again.

I'm actually only about 3 lbs from halfway, too! And very shortly I will be celebrating one year of healthy changes.

Congrats on making it halfway!! I keep going because I feel so much better when I eat well and exercise. I'm so tired and boring and QUIET when I eat poorly (I like to talk...a lot...quiet=not right), and I don't like that too much.

Griff-- I know exactly what you are talking about! When I eat poorly I get kinda cranky and no fun to be around. But when I am taking care of myself I am full of energy and happy.

When I feel the need to cheat or get off track I just think about what I want and think is it worth the weight I have already lost. No its not. Remember where you were before and remember how that felt. Thats enough motivation for me!

I'm wishing you the best! To keep me motivated, I keep reminding myself of how far I've come. Also, my fat clothes keeps me motivated as well, I wear my big pants with a belt and it makes me feel like I can finally do this! Good luck!

Thanks guys - that is great advice. I keep thinking that if I'm halfway there I can certainly make it. I've never been at a healthy weight, so I don't have a clue what it's going to be like. I tell myself that half the fun will be finding out!

Congrats MS...

I guess what keeps me going it how I feel now... It's priceless! Not giving that up. Nooo Wayyy! Also, I guess the desire just to be normal weight for once, and to be able to do the things I'm doing now with less struggle (running etc)

Happy 190's to you!
