Default carrots

Maybe this is a dumb question, but I was just looking over the phase 2 food list and I noticed that it says carrots are okay? In my book it says to avoid them? Did this change since the book was printed, or is it incorrectly listed on the food list? What about corn, is that still a no-no?

The lists of acceptable foods on this board have been updated based on updates on the official SBD website. The book you're reading says "no carrots", but I'm sure that the new one out in April will allow carrots on P2. I believe corn is still a no-no.

Mandi!

Carrots are a really nutritious vegetable. They have a fairly high Glycemic Index (GI) #, so they are excluded from the list for Phase 1. But they are allowed (and encouraged!) in Phases 2 & 3.

Corn is only allowed in very minute amounts. The way it's listed in the GFGCG makes it sound like you could have one serving once a month or so (once you're in Phase 2). It's very high in sugars, so it's best to avoid it as much as you can.
