Default Plateauing and it sucks!

SO I'm stuck in a spot where I'm lingering with the same 2 lbs for almost 3 weeks already. I'm having period issues right now which I can use as my excuse but I'm also now on BC (Yaz) and don't know if that has anything to do with it. I even eliminated some of my night time snacks as I thought that was my downfall (it's so hard to give them up too). Any suggestions what to do about the plateauing?

TOUGH IT OUT!

i plateaued last year for FOURTEEN WEEKS!

tweak your food if need be.
add some more exercise if you can

just be patient. eventually it will move.

don't look week to week. i gave that up a long time ago. now i go month to month or year to year....

I was on Yaz for a little while (b/f I stopped taking pills altogether) and since it is one of the low dose pills, I don't think it is supposed to affect your weight much, if at all. I read somewhere once, that BC pills do not slow your metabolism - they increase your appetite.

When my MIL plateaued, her Dr. told her to eat a little more. Help to rev up the metabolism.

But geez - look at YOU! You have lost 52 whole pounds! That is an amazing accomplishment! I agree with gahundy - try to look at it as maintaining. Maybe take some time to celebrate the weight you have lost so far.

Thank you thank you thank you. I have been stuck for a month now!! I have even started to exercise.. 30 mins of tae bo in the am and a 40 min walk at lunch.. and after two weeks of adding the exercising nothing...but when you put it like that... that I am maintaining.. its much easier to take. I am going to add back in snacks and see if I cant rev things up again.. But again thanks
Cannwarren come on stick it out with me!!

I'm in pretty much the same place guys - 54 lbs. gone, but now it is coming off verrry slowwly...
It does suck, but I think it's part of the process! We are in this for the long haul, and happy days will be here again eventually.
I suggest sticking it out, don't stress over the scale, keep working on the exercise, and look at your eating to see if there are any little areas you are slipping and need to tighten up a bit. And if you are hungry in the evening and want your snack, by all means, have it! You did say "snackS" though, so if you are eating a lot in the evening because you're hungry, maybe try eating more earlier in the day. I eat a BIG breakfast, snack, substantial lunch, another snack, pretty much every day, with lots of protein, and it helps because by dinner time, I'm not all that hungry for the rest of the day.

Girls I am right there with you, when I went back on phase 1, I lost the weight I gained from the Holidays, but I am back to being on a plateau again, but you know I am okay with that, I am not stressing I am trying out new things each week trying to change it up...I will hit on the right key and start losing again, I am not gaining and that is a BLESSING so atleast I know I can maintain this weight and not gain, the greatest thing is that I am still eating healthy for over a year now.

See what your getting with measurements. Sometimes especially if your exercising hard you'll put on muscle and won't loose the pounds. Also try going to phase one for a couple weeks and see if that helps. Stress will make you stall sometimes too.
