Default Fat Clothes

I am the very pleased recipient of my very good friends "fat clothes"! She is about 50lb lighter than I am. She has however lost quite a bit of weight and has clothes in various sizes. We started our weight loss program at the same time and I asked her to please keep her clothes for me to borrow as she shrank out of them. Well, now that I am down a few sizes I'm pretty much out of clothes to wear to the office. She just dropped off 4 pairs of pants and 2 skirts for me. I looked at the sizes and they were all "regular" sizes, not plus sizes like I have been wearing for a few years now. I told her that I probably wouldn't be in them for a bit yet, but they will be nice to have when I lose some more. Anyway, I tried them on for fun and guess who fit into a pair of "regular" 16's 2 pairs were way too tight but 2 fit! Sizes are all over the board I know, because she also had regular 18's that fit me exactly the same. But shucks - colour me happy! I just can't wait to be shopping in ALL the stores again!!!!!! This was a very bright moment in my otherwise kind of crappy, painful, (see kidney stone post) day!

Congratulations! Wearing "regular" clothes instead of plus sizes is a dream of mine.

After losing weight I needed a dress for a wedding. I automatically went to the "large sizes" department in the store, the clerk told me I was in the wrong place Made my day!

Agreed--- I'm not even going crazy about ever being "thin"... just being able to walk into any store and pick up clothing and know there will be a LOT to choose from that will fit... THAT is my goal! Yay for you!
