Default Failing miserably!!!!

I am so frustrated. I have been eating so well for the past month and a half. I have not lost any more weight than I already had (10lbs) but gained 2! I finally figured out that the wine I enjoy each evening has to be the culprit. So, no more My Dr said it was ok, but my body says it isn't. *sigh* Maybe with this change, I can finally see some improvement!

I can't lose a pound if I drink every night...alcohol just has that effect on me. So you may have to give it up...it's worth a shot, in any case. Maybe cut back to a glass every other day or so? I still drink about once a week, and yes, it slows my losses and/or bumps the scale up a bit afterward, but it usually works itself out.

Seems like I read somewhere that alcohol is dehydrating, so maybe it makes you retain water.

Are you being absolutely accurate and truthful for every morsel that you eat?

I'm wondering that, too, like Glory87. How are you tracking your food intake?

Yes, I keep a food journal with calories and carbs on it. (Handwritten) I even look up unknown foods online. So, I am confident I am tracking sufficiently. I really do believe it is the dinner wine. Thanks for all the replies. I appreciate it! I need to bump up my exercise, too. Right now it is 3x a week, but I am sure that will help, too!

Confession time.....I do like my cocktails!! When I started this journey on 10/20/07 I made the difficult decision to avoid alcohol. I am not proud of the fact that prior to that it had been years since I went a week or two without drinking. The good news is.....I have only had a handful of drinks since thern and it has not been that bad!! I still drink when I meet up with friends or attend a wedding etc..but dont when at home...

As you know, we are all different, but my metabolism slows to a crawl if I have a drink. In fact I will go as far as to say that drinking is the most significant change I have made. I wish you the best....you can do it!!
