Week 1 we are stopping in London, England. The weather is looking sunny with a large chance of rain and highs in the lower 50s.

This week we have 4 different excursions for your entertainment pleasure.
Excursion # 1 - Canterbury Tour - $50
* Canterbury is an ancient walled city with many narrow streets dating back to medieval times.
* The city center is best seen on foot and a walking tour with your tour guide is a must for any visitor.
* During a leisurely 60 minute walk where you will discover its hidden treasures; you will learn the fascinating history of a cathedral city which boasts a World Heritage Site, and hear about the many famous people who have lived and worked here - Christopher Marlowe, Jane Austen, Charles Dickens, Somerset Maugham, Mary Tourtel (of Rupert Bear fame), Joseph Conrad, to name but a few.
* The walking tour includes the Cathedral precincts, the historic King’s School, medieval lanes where pilgrims’ inns and weavers’ houses still stand, and many other interesting features of the city.
* Following the walking tour guest will have approximately 75 minutes of free time; an ideal opportunity to have an internal visit of Canterbury Cathedral. (admission fee applies)
* Once back aboard the coach, the excursion continues through Kent famous for its Fruit Orchards, beer hops and even vineyards where English wine is produced!
Excursion # 2 - London Panoramic & Eye - $100
* Your qualified English speaking Guide will bring this excursion to life as you arrive at the ‘West End,’ the part of central London that is west of the city’s limits.
* Three famous shopping streets - Oxford Street, Regent Street and Piccadilly, can be found in this part of London.
* From Trafalgar Square, in which stands imposing Nelson’s Column, and flanked by the National Art Gallery, you will pass through Admiralty Arch and into The Mall, where at the far end stands Buckingham Palace, London residence of the Queen.
* On one side of The Mall is St. James’ Park, a quiet and relaxed oasis with its flowerbeds and its ducks and pelicans on the lake.
* Enjoy the experience of a ride on the “London Eye”, the amazing Ferris Wheel located beside the river Thames, which allows you the opportunity to experience a Bird’s Eye View of the city. free time will be given at London Eye.
* In addition, Pass Whitehall with its poignant War Memorial - the Cenotaph, Horse Guards’ Parade, and Downing Street, the official London residence of the Prime Minister. On to Westminster - Parliament Square and the Houses of Parliament. Nearby is Westminster Abbey, the setting for every Coronation since 1066, and for numerous other Royal occasions.
Excursion # 3 - Royal Windsor - $150
* This excursion includes a guided visit to Windsor Castle which lasts for approximately 1 ½ hour.
* It is one of the three official residences of The Queen and, originally made of wood, was built by William the Conqueror in 1070, the castle has been home to the Sovereign for over 900 years.
* The imposing towers and battlements are visible from every approach to the town.
* The town of Windsor has quaint Georgian shops, houses and inns.
* The Guildhall, on the High Street, was completed by Sir Christopher Wren and is where the Prince of Wales and Camilla Parker Bowles were married in 2005.
* During free time (approximately 75 minutes) it is possible to, enjoy this beautiful town, enjoy Windsor Great Park, Eton or to take a stroll along another of Windsor’s great attractions – the River Thames
Excursion # 4 - The Royal Treatment - $200
* Enjoy a guided tour from the royal family as they show you around Buckingham Palace.
* Lunch and tea with Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II
* Be pampered by the Queen's personally recommended Spa Resort just outside of Buckingham Palace.
