Default anybody dizzy out there?

I've been away from the forum for a while. I've gained back some of my weight so I went back to phase I 10 days ago and I've been battling with dizziness. Today I went to the dentist and when they laid me back to clean my teeth the whole place started spinning. That was about an hour ago and I'm still feeling a little dizzy. I've been dizzy off and on for the last several days and I'm wondering if I'm going to be able to make it through the next 4 days.

Anybody out there have any advise?

It sounds as if you may be suffering from what we've dubbed in here "the South Beach flu". Make sure you are eating the required 4 1/2 cups of veggies, and including a serving of beans and dairy in your daily diet. That should help. Usually by the 4th day or so, it will pass. If not, you may want to consult a doctor to find out just what is causing your dizziness.

Are you getting enough protein? I get dizzy if I don't have enough protein. Your calories could also be very low, so make sure you're using healthy fats like olive oil to prepare your meals. Get that dairy in!

Have you checked your blood pressure? Weight loss and exercise can lower blood pressure and dizziness when changing positions can be related to low blood pressure. When I first started losing weight I had to reduce and eventually eliminate almost all of my blood pressure meds because my pressure would get too low.

Are you pregnant? That can do it too. (Just wondered about the ultrasound picture)

I was just about to post this same question.... Since Sunday I feel like I can just hit the floor at any minute!I remember when I did SB about 3 years ago this happened at first too... I am getting plenty of protein, and veggies, I have been cooking with olive oil and following everything to the book. I will say that I find it I eat smaller amount more often throughout the day I start to feel alittle better-- but my world was spinning so bad yesterday - it took everything I had just to cook dinner eat and clean the kitchen. I hope it end soon.

Hope you feel better very soon - just get through it and it will be worth it!

Thanks for all your replies. No I'm not pregnant. I'm 58.
The photo is my first grand baby, actually born in Oct 2006.

I'm feeling much better today and tomorrow is my last day of phase I, so it looks like I'll make it. A friend at work is doing phase I as well and she was dizzy this morning. I added a little peanut butter to my eggs in the morning and added a glass of milk for breakfast and made sure I was drinking water.

I did check the bp and it was okay. blood sugar was okay as well.

I'll watch what I'm eating and drinking and little closer from now on...thanks guys.

Oh, I remember that feeling, i'm sure I will be ridding it tomorrow. I would have been today if I didn't screw up. I remember milk helping tremendously for dizziness as well as the headaches I would get. I'm glad your feeling better today
