Default Hormel Bacon Bits

I was looking at the pre-cooked Hormel Bacon Bits in the jar on the salad isle at the grocery store and the nutritional information looks like this:

Nutrition Facts
Serving Size: 1 Tbsp (7g) Amount per Serving Calories 30 Calories from Fat 15 % Daily Value * Total Fat 1.5g2% Saturated Fat 0g0% Cholesterol 5mg2% Sodium 250mg10% Total Carbohydrate 0g0% Dietary Fiber 0g0% Protein 3g6%
The bacon I usually cook myself is Butterball Turkey Bacon and the nutritional info looks like this:

Nutrition Facts

Now, I know that we are suppose to limit ourselves to 2 slices of Turkey bacon per day. I do not eat bacon a lot at all, less than once a week. But according to the nutritional information, does this look o.k. or still off limits?

The serving size of the bacon bits is half as large as the serving size on the turkey bacon. There is saturated fat in regular bacon, but it must be rounded to 0% on the label. If you are going by the book, we are not supposed to eat regular bacon. But if you are talking about treating yourself to 1T of bacon bits once a week, it probably would do not harm. But if you start treating yourself to more servings and cutting corners elsewhere, you might stall your loss. Basically this is a judgment call on your part. .

That makes sense. No, I don't eat a lot of bacon. And I hated making bacon to have just a couple of slices for me and my husband. Now Canadian bacon is a different story. I don't really have a problem with portion control, I was just curious since the saturated fat seemed to be the same in both. Not that I would ever think that bacon would be considered a good thing to have in my diet - I was just curious.

Thank you for the honest feedback. I guess that was mostly a common sense question. I guess it wouldn't kill me to use my own judgment.
