Well, you can certainly eat more fiber than your body is accustomed to, which can cause some icky stomach side effects. If you're eating more fiber than your body can handle, it'll let you know with bloating and abdominal pain. You can slowly increase your fiber to eliminate, or at least minimize, these effects while you ramp up the fiber in your diet.
If you notice you're having stomach pain that coincides with increasing your fiber, you may want to decrease and add it into your diet more slowly.
