Lightbulb **december 2006 Goals**

It's that time again -- we close out one month and say hello to another! December's special, though, as it's the month in which we all feel the most vulnerable to food. Food means family, food means celebration, food means the holiday spirit! Right? WRONG! People make the holidays happen, not that fruitcake or honey-baked ham.

So how are you going to combat the holiday feast demon? Where do you want to be come January 1st, when all those poor suckers are just beginning to make their resolutions to get in shape?

Share your goals for the year's end here!

(PS: I know there is also Jen's New Year's challenge thread -- I think the goals thread is different, right? Hope I'm not overlapping too much!)

My December goals:
-In keeping with the New Year's Challenge, lose 5 pounds.
-Work on that exercise routine... which has routinely failed so far.
-Exercise while on vacation.
-Don't spend too much on gifts for people -- they don't need material objects to know I care for them (and I don't need to break the bank in order to prove it to myself).
-Kick butt on exams and final essays!!
-Moderate dessert consumption -- eliminating it would be torture, so choose wisely and only take half-portions.
-Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve -- only allowable nights for alcohol consumption.

Not to get discouraged when the numbers on the scales won't budge (note to self, kicking it doesn't help)

DRINK MORE WATER!!!!!!!!

Continue to exercise atleast 3 x a week for atleast 30 minutes

Keep a positive frame of mind and realize how far I've come

Limit snacking between meals and not give in to late night fridge/cabinet raids

I guess the overall this month is to not completely fall off the wagon. A bit of self control wouldn't go astray

December Goals
  • 900 minutes exercise (inline with challenge)
  • Stick to my exercise schedule
  • 2 fruit and 2 veg per day
  • Lots of water - its already warming up here so i need to keep on top of the water
  • Nothing is out of bounds - just moderation.

My December Goals!
-Drink more water
-eat more veggies
- exercise!!!! (it has been really hard for me to stay focused, so I was thinking of training for a triathalon so then I can acheive 2 of my goals (losing that last 20 lbs and complete a triathalon)- I found a community, MyDream (http://www.mydream.tv) and it has it's own board for completing a triathalon! I think this is a great place for me to start!)

December Goals:

* More water! Drink as much as humanly possible!

* Get as close to my Christmas goal as possible.

* Sleep, sleep, sleep! I've seen that Simpson and Family Guy epi before anyway.

* Sitting on my *** isn't going to make it smaller. Hit the gym at least five times a week.

* I know what cheesecake, ice cream, etc tastes like. I DON'T need a repeat preformance every day!

* Remember that stress/anger/sadness/etc are a part of life and food does nothing to lessen it.

My November goals didn’t go so well because I had surgery so I’m hoping for a better December!

* Not to binge during my 3 weeks of finals.
* Drink 3 liters of water daily
* Exercise
* Not to binge when I go see my parents.
* Lose 6 pounds by the end of the month putting me at 226!

Hmmm.. what are Fae's goals?

-Stop playing 'catch-up' and start losing weight.. which means reaching 185.
-Do my exercising. Thats my challenge goal, but Im restating it here... both cardio and strength, 3 times a week.
-Dont binge the 4 days Im at my mother's.
-Keep within calorie limits (1400-1600 a day).
-Since its such a holiday month, Im allowed to drink as much as I want on 2 occations. Once on New Years, and the other a day I pick (as per my goal promise.. reach 190 by Thanksgiving, Im allowed to get drunk hehe).

I think thats all.
