I just saw a commercial for the new Sonic sandwich.. chili, cheese, and Fritos in a tortilla wrap.

Fritos, as in the high calorie corn chips?? are you serious?????

yuck.. doesnt even sound good to me.. i can only imagine how much fat and calories are in that too.. :-(

I saw it and it looks like canned chili...GROSS!

I was at Sonic last night (just getting a raspberry iced tea!) and my husband pointed that out. We both gagged at the thought of it.

When it was my dad's turn to cook (when my mom wasn't home) we'd have Frito Chili Pie. It's still one of my favorite "bad" foods :) But in a tortilla? THAT's weird.

Yah I saw that...I thought it was weird, I had never heard of anything like that before. I don't think I'd ever venture to get it.

Excuse my language, but holy crap! That's half a day's food for the average person!!! Talk about disgusting! Just thinking of how much food I can eat (healthy food, that is) to reach a calorie count of over 700, and eating it all in one go, makes me want to barf! I think that's a good sign? LOL.

Hello, heart attack waiting to happen! But still... I've eaten worse! I used to make these toasted cheese sandwiches.
Texas Toast
Atleast 3oz of cheese on each
Toasted, then micro'd to melt the cheese.

Then a side of Ranch to dip it in.

i always notice strange new "frankenfood" creations advertised on the sonic sign when i drive by. recently: pickle o's (fried pickles!) ewwww....

I have never seen the commercial, but I do know that chili and frito chips is oooh so good when together. Kinda like mac and cheese with ketchup. Or peas and cheese on ramen noodles.. wow this makes it sound like all I eat is processed foods, but I swear I don't! I'm just a poor college student..

I can't imagine why on earth they would destroy the holy name of a Frito pie (and if you're from the south, you know it's holy) by putting it in a tortilla with TATER TOTS? excuse me, I need to vomit. that being said, the caloric content is frightening

I hear you Dreamer. I was on a Qdoba (pretty much the same as Chipotle) burrito kick...until the day I saw the nutrition info online...Whoa!!! That was even without cheese, sour cream, or guacamole!

That just sound nasty!!! Ick.... imagine all that junk going through your system? Oh I feel ill!! :(

Tater Tots? I definitely missed out on that part...... Okay, the potential for it to be anything approximating tasty is GONE. (It only ever had potential before because, as I said, I <3 frito chili pie....) Yuck. Deep-fried potatoes.... corn chips..... probably 30% fat chili made with Grade E beef...... and fake, tasteless cheese. MMMMMMMMMMMM.

I think it's ONLY the Sonic over here off of 249 that has tots in the actual wrap, because I haven't seen it advertised like that anywhere else or on the commercials.. but still. gross. and nothing beats homemade Frito pie.

I am guilty of indulging in all of Sonic's strange food combinations myself....throughout my entire last pregnancy I used to go every Thursday (my day off) for BREAKFAST, and have one of those double cheeseburgers with the chipotle sauce and jalapenos, with tater tots and an orange smoothie. That and Caramel Moolatte's from DQ were major contributing factors to my 80 pound weight gain that I'm still losing a year later. Thinking of it now makes me want to barf, but it just goes to show ya that there's a market out there for anything-SOMEONE will eat it.
I do still love the chili cheese fries with onions and the philly cheesesteak thingies on hot dog buns.
