New.. and a question

I found this site a while ago... but just figured out how to post :o . Anyway I'm 26 with one little boy, 6 mos old, and I am a SAHM. I'm also attending ASU. I am going to try and count calories to help me get to my weight loss goals. My question is how do I find the amount of calories that I should be eating? Thanks and I am excited to get to know you!

Calorie-counting is good, but for me it just drives me up a wall. So while I keep an eye on calories so as not to grossly overeat, I watch the quality of the food I'm eating a lot more carefully.

I would also strongly suggest some mild exercise. It's a great kick-start for your metabolism, and helps to balance out your body's natural impulse to hoard calories if you're cutting back. Leslie Sansone's walking DVDs are great, they're what I use.

However you do it, good luck on losing the weight!

Welcome! I also calorie count. I don't use an online tool though. I can remember what i eat throughout a day as it is'nt really a whole lot on most days.

Good luck to you and welcome!

Hey, welcome!!! I'm also in AZ, soon to be an ASU east student, well "soon" whenever I get my associates.

Anyway, I love the calorie counting thing. I love Fit Day, and since the online version is free it's very hand and it can figure out for you an estimated goal calorie level.

Good luck!
